Thanks so much for the reply, minutes later I found the lower left bolt hidden behind the metal coolant lines:rolleyes:
I waited till this morning and put the cover back on and buttoned everything up! Runs fine, no leaks seen, and most importantly...no check engine lights:)

I’ll post a few key photos here soon to help others get some other views of the engine bay.

Gee, I sure wished I had read your thread Les7311 before I changed out my spark plugs (100,233 miles). I found oil in 4 of the plug ports but didn't think to syphon it out with a small vacuum hose, hence when I removed the plugs oil penetrated into the cylinders. When I started up my truck much blue smoke came out for about one minute until it cleared. Hopefully I didn't end up fowling a plug or two. Truck seems to run fine and strong and no codes coming up nor any missing. I may go back and syphon the oil from the one that I saw had most then pull the plug and check it to see if any oil on the tip. Probably burned off by now, I hope. I did copy and past your post on changing the VCG and tube seals, but may wait a little before tackling this project. Appreciate the post and picks. Question. Is it necessary to pull the plugs when changing the VCG and Seals? Thanks for your reply...Jorge

Sure to pulling the plugs. You already down there in the “gutz”, so a few more minutes won’t hurt, than having to go back later.

the tub seals are most likely compromised since you have oil on the plugs.
Good luck bud, and post up.

I'd aim this at the OP, but it seems he hasn't been on here in over a year; hope he's alright.

Am I missing something, or did @Les7311 leave all the sensors in the valve covers when he removed them? Is that kosher? In the write up on another board the guy removed them all.

Yes, I'm still fussing with replacing my valve cover gaskets. I haven't had the time to get back to them in the last couple of days, much to the annoyance of my wife.
