I have a 2005 SR5 DC w/ a CD player. I would like to add steering wheel audio controls using a factory stereo. A search online mentions the audio controls themselves, a steering wheel blank, smaller air bag cover but is stops there. Can it be converted? What about the wiring harness @ the wheel & radio? Thanks.

wires should be in the dash and the spiral cable should be wired.
you would just need to add 3 wires to the back of the radio to the connector at the bottom of the center stack. at least in my reg cab i had to, being your a double cab they might already be there too

Did you have a stock AM/FM CD player?

I have access to a fancy wiring diagram and for the models w/ radio controls it lists pins 6,7 & 8 of the 20 pin connector. Where did you acquire the wires for the connector? I found something that might work :https://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-WIR...H951/400154947730?fits=Year:2005|Model:Tundra

I grabbed the connector out of a 06 highlander in the junkyard with long enough pigtails. Then spliced some terminals from another harness to make it all work
