Still getting used to my new Tundra, which i absolutely love by the way. Been hearing this metal jingling noise on a few occasions when i had the windows down, and coming to a stop. My wife couldn't hear it and just chalked it up to me being anal about my new truck, but i did indeed find the culprit. It seems having a long metal chain hanging down between the metal rim on the spare tire does indeed make annoying, unwanted noises. I cut a piece of 3/4" heater hose i had, wrapped it around the chain and secured it with a few zip ties. The noise is gone, and my wife still thinks I'm nuts. ;) Just thought I'd share.

Yeah noise annoys the crap out of me too. So what you did was perfectly normal

Normal may be overstating it.
