i have an 07 tundra. the stalk of my headlight switch slid out of the turn signal bar. now the only thing I can do is signal and pull back for my brights. until I can pay 226.50 for new assembly, im trying to figure out how to get my headlights to the auto position. any ideas? suggestions?

I have been into many automotive switches over the years and some can be repaired, some not. I have not been into a Toyota multifunction and don't know if they are riveted together. That being said that multifunction switch you're working with is definitely high liability and also has a lot of complexity of function so you run the risk of not being able to even get it back together much less fix it. Hopefully you can find the best price and/or a salvage unit that fits your needs so you don't have to risk fixing that one.

I don't know what auto parts stores the OP has in his area but a friend of mine that works at O'Reilly's told me that they will price match Rockauto now.
