    Stock for now

    Hey all,
love the site and all the information, I recently bought a 2003 Tundra that is all stock to my untrained eye. Buying the Tundra was probably the best vehicle decision I have made in a long time. I traded a 2016 GMC Sierra with stupid high payments and paid cash for the difference... Love the no payment thing, now just gotta get my wife's Subaru paid off and then I can devote some money to make it my own. First order of business will be fix it up, then put some new tires on some 5th gen 4runner wheels I have lying around (pics when it happens)

I have some maintenance issues to fix (cat codes are popping up, and needs a new front diff plug) but it only has 138,000 miles on it so plenty of life left in it... from what I could tell the previous owner took pretty good care of it. Minus a few bumps and scraps (to be expected on a vehicle this old) it looks fantastic. Smelled terrible though, previous owner smoked in it. I got that taken care of with a ozone Bomb and some air fresheners. Even my wife, who is very sensitive to smoke smell, said she doesn't notice the smell anymore.

If anyone has any insight on things to look out for on an '03 I would appreciate the heads up... The frame looks to be in good shape and the timing belt was replaced about a year before I got it (according to service records at least). Those are the only two things that I have found so far to be on the look out for.

    Thanks for stopping...

Welcome from Boston. I had an 02 - almost the same color (a bit more purple) and loved it. O2 sensors always seemed to pop the cat code for me. It was really the only persistent grip she gave me. Great truck with great miles.
