I have been tapping the vast warehouse of knowledge from highly experienced Tundra people and will be ordering 6112/5160 any moment now.

Looking for feedback on setting 6112s at 2.5 driver side and 1.9 passenger side without use of c/o shims/spacer.

Other option(s) I am leaning to is 1.9 with 2 shims driver / 1 shim passenger.

I will be running current wheels (20x9 et 40)/ tires (275/55/20) for about 30k miles and then move to 295/60/20. Yea I figure tires are gonna look pretty damn small for a bit...

Also, thinking +2 or +3 CB shackles for "level: with slight rake.
Understandably getting front dialed in and then determining which size shackle would be way to go. One issue is I will be paying to have this installed- the front first -rear second will result in incurring additional costs and the Tundra budget is tight...

A few more details: I will be adding bump stop extension and not adding diff drop. Also running stock UCAs - hopefully go TC UCAs when I get new tires.

I personally would NOT use different height settings. You would have different spring preload, and I would imagine a sketchy ride over bumps

Decided to shim at 1.9...actually 2 CB shims driver/ 1 passenger. Will go with CB+2 in rear w/ 5160s.

How is this setup working for you? I am in the same boat with a decision to make. At 1.9 with the 2/1 shim setup were you able to get aligned properly? I assume you are on stock UCA's. Thanks

I have not installed yet... I will install when tires need replacing- currently have 275/55r20 which will look small with lift. I purchased the following:
    6112 @ 1.9 & 5160 from Dirty Deeds- Keith is a great guy.
CB +2 shackle, 3 shims, and career bearing drop kit- CB- David is a great guy
Diff drop kit & 5160 billet bracket- 4wp- good deal

I will be purchasing bumper shim kit from CB as I am going with Icon Rebounds & BFG T/A KO2 285/75r17.

Sorry not much help but after research I am confident this will be a sweet set-up with no issues. Perhaps front sway bar spacer kit ...

I just set both mine at 1.9. Installed and done but I am not as OCD as some. Just needed a little too adjustment for idle. Steers and rides great.

It is part of the CB+2 shackle.

I have the same setup except only 1 shim driver's side and none on the passenger. With the shackle, the truck still has enough rake to not be nose high when loaded.

Figured may as well just in case- longevity-price. 38K truck vs 60 bucks for peace of mind. I had an 08 Tacoma with a shitty lift and 35s and had a lotta issues at about 160K. Apple and oranges but helps the OCD/perfectionist German in me.

Mine are both set at 2.5 with a 1/4" CB shim to get 3" lift. There is a slight driver lean but not noticeable looking at it. You can only tell by measuring. However, same set up for my bro's truck, he definitely had a lean by just looking at it. I ended up shimming another 1/4" for the driver side. I guess the lean varies truck to truck.

With that setup did you find it necessary to add UCAs or do the stock UCAs work fine? I noticed in the profile you are running JBA's UCA now but did the lift force the add or was that part of the initial build plan? How are you liking the JBA's? So many options and I want to get it right the first time. Thx

I wanted higher caster for stability and more clearance for 37's.
I recommend upgraded UCA for following reasons:
    • My coils doesn't rub a full droop against stock UCA, but bro truck does (sligthly) for some reason. I guess manufacturing variance.
    • His UCA joint now shows sign of leakage.
    • More caster.
