Also make sure put silicone around the rubber fitting for HID kit, my friend said he’s already seeing his first sign of moisture. Seems when you wash it the water is running down and on top of that part. I need to go buy some today and do that.

I was pretty fired up about getting these for my truck but the more I hear about moisture and leveling issues the more satisfied I am that I passed on this deal. I restored my factory headlights and was told to treat them every month or so with Meguiars ultimate paste wax. The truck doesn’t have that 2019 light upgrade but I can live with that knowing my headlights won’t leak etc...
To those that did go with these headlights- your trucks look badass. Good luck!

the upcoming Morimotos look great though. More $$ for sure but has the Morimotos backing.
Alpharex look great too and a good price. hopefully they fix their few issues.

    Link?

Also - I’m not a huge fan of giving up the ability to easily level my lights.

Will I forfeit the leveling option with the Morimoto lights?

I believe they said they come with the motors for leveling so you wouldn’t have to give that up

Is it from the rubber fitting? Or is it from the lens-to-housing seal? Seems like these are on par with all the other Spyder type lights. They just look better.

This is where my friend applied it on his 2nd gen Tundra. I need to work on doing that tomorrow when I purchase some. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the pics. Would be interesting if the moisture comes back after a car wash.

I'm definitely digging these headlights, I've also been looking @ the U- Bar Anzos, which look pretty sweet. I love my retrofit, but looking to change things up.

It rained pretty hard again where he was at and he double checked for moisture & or water and he said nothing came in. So that’s a good thing.

This is a close up on how mine look they aren’t a perfect fit as you can see there is some gaps...if you have OCD like me bugs the shit out of me lol. The look of the lights are pretty nice. There’s just a few little flaws that bother me.

Those are pretty significant gaps. Maybe I’m too picky but looks a little worse than I’d be able to live with.

Man, that seems to happen with a lot of these aftermarket lights. When I got my taillights, the first set was way out of whack. The second set I got were fine. It’s really hit or miss on quality control on a lot of this stuff.

Was there a reason you went with these over the OEM pro headlights? Price doesn’t look much different unless I’m missing something?

My friend told me last minute on a group buy so the price was a steal when i thought I would only be spending like around 300$ for them. Plus I guess the fact that I had a couple beers in me while watching my NFL game I made the impulse decision.

    $600. These were $380? I guess it’s a big difference percentage wise.

Yeah I paid 360 with the activation light kit and group buy discount.....which only does the pattern when you flip the switch to turn lights on. I originally thought it did the pattern when unlocking the truck but nope.

Way better than stock definitely lights up the road pretty well. Before these I had stock with some Auxbeam light bulbs which were pretty bright as well.
