I have used 5/20 Havoline since new. No synthetic. Not a bad old truck for 387k6671DE82-AEAC-4DA5-B483-F2CE20A3A631.jpg

It's not bad if you're a DIYer. I just went thru my 08 Crewmax with 110k miles and refreshed everything.

My 2008 Crewmax 5.7 just hit 216000 miles and still runs like new.
Texas living with highway miles as a daily driver probably serve it well!:)

My 12 has 135K miles on it and besides regular maintenance, no problems. About to put on a lift, headers, and exhaust so I'm having the water pump changed at the same time just so I don't have to fool with it later.

My 06 had 210 on it when I sold it to buy this one 3 years ago and I changed the water pump and timing belt twice on it and that was it.

I just reached 200k this past weekend! Bought it with 165kish. About to change the water pump also. Leaking a little anx it needs addressed. Dealership quote was 1k... I think I will pass and do it my self. Does not look too complicated. Love this truck.

Don't mind the late reply. Haha. I watched one guy. I did it along with the thermostat and serpentine belt. Wasn't too difficult. Maybe 5 hours total work.

OP with the 4.6 (and any other 4.6 owners out there), what is everyone at now?? I am at 132,000 with my 2014 4.6 SR5 DC. Bought it with 131k on it last month. Replaced the fan clutch on it, and that is all i've done so far.

My 2007's AIP failed at 230k or so. Installed the Hewitt kit and no issues since.

Brand new to the forum.....just posted in the newbies section, but saw this thread just now. What do you folks think about a one owner, well maintained (consistent oil changes, changed out water pump, changed out radiator, changed out AIP) body looks delicious, interior looks clean and taken care of.... 2008 90,000 miles for $21,000....yes, or no?

I am new to the truck game, but lurked on this site for a few months....thus, your opinions and knowledge would be highly appreciated.

That mileage is NOTHING to be even remotely concerned about. If you like the price and the condition of the truck and are sure it (you don't show/note your location) has not been in one of the crazy floods of 4-5 years (Texas, Florida) then I'd ride the deal like a drunk sorority freshman.

I am in NY State....the car has lived it's life in Connecticut thus far. She has been lingering for about 180 days on the listings and I am itching.
    Thanks for responding, Lol.

My husband’s 2003 4.7 is over 300k miles, thats with towing the camper to FL annually. He bought it at 120k miles.

Depends how theyre taken care of, but if they are maintained they’ll go forever.
