I thought I would jump on this thread and let u idaho guys know that I I'm expecting to move to Pocatello within the month. What's your opinion of the area around Pocatello for outdoor fun including hiking mountain biking hunting and skiing? Also what about housing options?

Took the little one out hiking up at Bogus Basin. It was cool out and a fantastic day. She did so good and enjoyed the frozen puddles. She’s ready to experience the snow when it comes for the first time!

Nice scenery! Glad to see she likes the outdoors. I miss living in Montana. My brother in law lives up there in Idaho. We sure don't have anything like that here...hell....we are still in the 90's during the day.

Thanks to the support of the wife in the decision, we now have this 2019 XP1000 Crew Backcountry. I loved the XP900 but this will work better in the long run. Tune and clutch kit coming soon. I’ll get more shots of it today.

But can you put 35's on it?

That's pretty awesome! How many gears on those things?

It could probably fit some 30s easily. Lol the factory tires are 27” so I am happy with them.

Just high and low! Haha It has three modes for throttle/power mapping though: work, standard and performance which should be nice to have.

Anyone on this thread ride a dirt bike? I'm hoping to get up into Idaho next summer and hit some of y'all's wicked single track trails.

DAAANG....So, I bought a Tundy a few months ago and have just been kind of exploring this site a bit and came across a hard-started Idahoan thread. Glad to see it finally is catching on! I've lived in Twin for about 5 years now and cant wait to get out on some hunting trips with my new baby this year...also, I need some bow (or rifle) hunting buddies. :playball:

Any of y’all have any insight on hospitals around Boise/Meridian? I’ve been playing with the idea of trying to get a residency out there in a few years.

Good luck! I dont know Boise very well. If wanting PNW, check out UWmedicine and Harborview in Seattle, OHSU in Portland as they are the bigger hosiptals. Trauma 1 locations.

Thank you! I’m not necessarily interested in a big hospital and I definitely don’t think I’d want to live in Seattle or Portland. I’ve thought about trying to find some place in Wyoming or Montana but I think Idaho is at the top of my list as of now.

My buddy and I did more coyote hunting with no luck. We did see at least 70+ mule deer which was nice. We will know where to shed hunt now. We took the Ranger out and put about 50 miles on it. So far the tuning and clutch kit are spot on again.

Need to bring this Idaho thread back to life.

Picking up my Tundra next week and will want to immediately take it out and get lost on some fun trails. I am located in Meridian and don't mind traveling for fun day trips to beautiful outdoor places. Looking for any great suggestions for places you have taken your Tundra to. Thanks in advance!
