Pink coolant near water pump

    I was under the truck and I was looking at the tensioner and saw this around the water pump.

    Crumbles when put fingers on it and push. It's mom's car but I use and trying to help her catch up on maintenance it a little behind

    Well depends can be water pump or gasket can be a hose or a clamp I didnt ask what kind of car or truck but then I read it’s your mom’s car what kind of car and year?

    I read that Toyota TSB that P-Factor posted best thing to do is clean it and see if it comes back my be normal.
    I worked on a Avalon that had the same thing car was purchased new and I could not find a leak just dried up old coolant
