Damn Jimmy after looking at those pics, it does seem to me like the UCA is the problem. That snap ring should not release like that. It doesn't even look broken. It looks like it just snapped out of the groove.

Alex - The snap-ring broken on two different cases.
    Snapring_IMG_1997.jpg Snapring_IMG_1998.jpg

Anyhow this time the snap-ring is eliminated so I welded the UCA lower adaptor, nut and steering knuckle together and placed some flat bar boxed the steering knuckle collar.
I also fixed the upper coil bucket shock mount that sheared earlier.

New 6 Cooper STT Pro 285x75x16 also arrived

Hey, Jimmy! Your trucks morphed a bit since you posted these pics:
When you get a minute, please will you tell me more about your roof rack (where'd you get it? Show me how it's attached. Do you get loud wind noise, either because of the rack, or the light bar?)

Can you tell me more about how you've secured the spares in the bed (I figure it's something you built in when you reinforced the bed-?

Locking those spares down or did you set up a motion detector with machine gun?

@Sunnier - I built the roof rack and i attach to the truck using rain gutter. There is no wind noise on the rack neither the light bar. I will attach the photos of the spare tire mount below.
    IMG_2075.jpg IMG_2077.jpg
    IMG_1828.jpg

The bed mount spare tire and the roof rack share the same mounting, so I can mount the tire either.

Try to install the rack this weekend and swap out the LCA bushing from the last trip. Let me know when the next trip will be.

Nice looking truck you have there. One question. Is the upper uniball snap ring on the top or the bottom side of the cup?

I wonder if this is just to keep dirt and debris out of it? I just put mine on the top so if it came off the upper arm couldn't come completely off the spindle.

During summer I was busy with river camping trip, I got new toy Kawasaki 310 SE (310 HP supercharged) so not much time to work on my truck. Jefferson (my son) who is riding the Yamaha VX cruiser now.
We spent most of the river time in Lake Havasu.

Last year the LCA passenger sheared during Mojave Road trip with SGU, LCA on the driver side cracked about 3/4"

The passenger LCA sheared and I was able to replace this on the trail. Thanks to @osidepunker and @jc153 helped removing while thanks @Stewie for the 80 miles round trip ride for part.

I removed both LCA last weekend, re-enforced it and reinstalled with poly bushing.

All parts were installed, alignment is also done.

I love it how op has been deemed that guy that always breaks shit and yet you are all so ready for the next adventure. I can make fun of the left coasters all I want but that's pretty solid comradery.

We always help each other out, wheelin in remote territory is way more fun when you dont have to worry about being broke and alone.

Last time I wheeled anza with jimmy he broke his spindle in two. Right under the upper ball joint. I tied a jack handle to the spindle with ratchet straps, then ran the handle through the upper ball joint. This was enough to keep his wheel straight. He had to drive walking speed though. We spent the next two hours limping his truck to fish creek where we made camp for the night.

I haven't been on a single trip with that guy where he hasn't broken something major...

Reminds me of desert racing haha. Lots of bailing wire and ratchet straps between the start and the finish line

Very entertaining build thread! Thanks for sharing.
The way you wheel that thing and break shit, have you contemplated going with a full build? Engine cage tied into tubular bucket replacements, and full LT, or maybe solid axle front? You obviously have the fab skills to do it.
