I am adding a 3.5" lift kit on my 2010 SR5 Double Cab TRD and want to add larger tires than my stock 275/65 R18. The truck is my daily driver so will spend a lot of time on pavement, but I also will be taking it off road on camping trips. Nothing crazy, mostly fire roads and moderately technical dirt roads. We do also get snow and ice in the winter where we live. I am looking for a tire that is fairly quiet and smooth with good handling on the road in all conditions, long lasting and can handle occasional moderate off road use.

By researching threads on this site I have determined that I should be able to install 295/70 R18 on my stock TRD rims without cutting or trimming.

The tires I am currently looking at are:
    Toyo Open Country A/T2 LT
    Falken Wildpeak A/T3W
    Nitto Ridge Grappler
    Kuhmo Road Venture AT51
    Cooper Discover AT3

If anyone has experience with any of these tires I would appreciate your feeback. Also, if anyone has other tires that meet my requirements I would love to hear about them.

    Thanks,
    Bob

I don’t own them, but I just keep hearing good things about these. Especially for the price!

    Alot of them
I have the Ridge Grapplers in 285/70/18. The 285's are 34's and 10 pounds lighter per tire than the 295's. IIRC the 285 and 295's are within a 1/2 inch of each other in size.

Not a bad price for 275/ 70 r18 for $169. Let us know how you like them.

That's exactly what I am putting on my truck today for that same exact price at Discount tires. I have heard nothing but great things about them. My research showed you will need at least a 3" lift to avoid rubbing and/or trimming with 295/70 R18 size (I just got a 3 1/2" lift). I will post an update on them after they have been on for a while.
