Had a change of heart on the Rock Island Armory CS I posted up earlier. Reviews were too Mixed on reliability. Some swore by them as an Awesome gun for crappy gun money, some weren’t happy long term. Sights absolutely sucked.

The SA reviews are generally all around positive, don’t find too many unhappy customers. Seem to be seen as the better option for people who want to get into a quality 1911 for less than an extra mortgage payment.

So I dumped it and picked up this SA Mil Spec defender for 525. Came with one 7 rnd mag. Already picked up a cheap IWB holster and a Meg caR 8 rounder. No plans to carry it as my G26 is my carry gun, but all my loaded pistols that get stored in safes in the home are always in holsters.

Probably gonna pick up one or two more 8 Round Spares and then get it to the range in the next week or two.

All oiled up and ready to go.

My favorite all time pistol, I will own one at some point. When I first learned to shoot in the Marines we had really old .45's, you had to aim at the corner of the target to have any chance of getting near center mass. They also used to stovepipe rounds all the time. Even with that I still shot better with that then I ever did with that crappy B92F. Love that pistol, no pistol has felt more right in my hands than that one. Enjoy

Now I see the hellcat out and I am intrigued.. Sig P365 comes after the G26, then the Hellcat steps into the fray. Looks like the new thing right now among manufacturers is to see how many 9mm rounds you can cram into a subcompact.
