Not that it’s a “fun” feature, but did GM add the ability to do an driver/operator controlled regen these new ones? Previous models it wasn’t available.

Leer has a new camper shell that should release soon. This is my first mod beside the normal small stuff like tint.

That shell looks well thought out! I like the way it looks like it was supposed to be there with the recessed hinges and struts. Good luck to you man. Excited to see how it all shakes out.

It’s the boring stuff so no worries lol.

When your DPF gets full, you would have the ability to start a regen if needed. With these systems and lots of city driving, you can soot load quickly if you don’t get on the highway for extended periods to get a long burn. The 6.7 Fords let you start one if needed when parked(with 100% soot load).

My LML Duramax didn’t have that option. I was curious if they implemented it in the new ones.

That's a cool topper, almost like a hatchback. Damn those Chevys are ugly, how can the gmc look so good and the chevy so terrible

Awesome truck man. I like these all new GMC 2500 HD - chrome.
Have u noticed what kinda mileage u are getting on This Diesel truck?
How would u compare the power to your supercharged Tundra?

Thank you! If you like the chrome then the Denali has the same features as mine but a lot more chrome.
I’ve averaged 15.7 mpg so far. My buddy has the same truck for a few months and he is averaging 15-18 mpg. Even towing his heavy camper he still get decent mileage.

I haven’t gotten on it yet. I like to baby my new motors for the first 500 miles. Now I did get on a demo 6.6L GMC and it hauls ass when you get on the pedal. The 10 speed transmission is so smooth! I do see upgraded shocks for this truck soon. I got spoiled with my fox shocks on the tundra. This truck isn’t rough but it’s different.

I’ve been leaning in the same direction. Since I will need more towing for construction. This truck looks awesome. I will most likely keep my tundra for one of my supers.

I have no regrets on changing to a diesel. I planned to do a comparison pros and cons review of the GMC versus the Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, I loved all four of my Tundras but this truck has a lot more function for my daily use.

The split screen with multiple camera angles for backing up is very nice!

haha. I’m waiting for the aftermarket industry to catch up to this new design. Leer is still 2 months out for the new campershell. Only lift so far is a 2” level kit and a few other small lifts. So I’m going to wait and see what releases after Sema.

I told myself I would only do a 2” level kit on the new GMC but I’m already getting the itch for a bigger lift.

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
After following your build since I got my Tundra 2 years ago... I am still in shock you got rid of your beastly tundra!

Hands down, I get why you did the upgrade to the new stronger :muscleflexing: truck. It suits your needs

You might get grief about the GMC but keep this build thread alive on your progress. Its gonna be huuuuge, if your old Tundra is a sign of things to come.

I am a big fan of the GMC Sierras. my pockets aren't that deep

It’s been a year a half ago since I sold my Tundra. Some of my aftermarket parts have ended up on some cool truck builds.

My rigid adapt lightbar ended up on my buddies Ram TRX truck. It’s got 840hp to the rear wheels after some serious upgrades! EE72620A-7324-4D06-BE30-53EA867A5B59.jpg

My custom grille by gravel empire was repowder coated to match a friends truck build. 588088DD-9E98-4DA4-91EB-842701D8D5C6.jpg
