so.... the panel that holds the door lock and window switches is rattling more than I can stand with the stereo playing. It’s just not tight enough to prevent rattles. Anyone experienced this and fixed? I searched but didn’t see anything.

Popped both sides off. The clips are all there and in the right spot. Does it on both sides.

I have just accepted the Toyota rattle lol. My entire truck rattles going over any bump in the road. Weird how my 2017 didnt rattle at all, but my 2019 appears to really have some QC issues.

Ok. I got the hush mat tape in. Worked great on the buttons. Now I can hear the silver trim rattle. If I pull the door panel does that silver trim just unscrew or is it plastic welded or something?

Man, I am so happy this post exists. I’ll buy some now. Is it easy to pop off the panel with the window switches/ door locks without completely marring the panel? I am fairly... special when it comes to things like that.

Late to this thread, did you ever find a fix for this? Originally in my 1794, the window control panel was super loose and would rattle like hell when i had the volume up above 25, i bought some hush tape and that fixed this part from rattling but now i think my same silver trim along the bottom of the arm rest is what is rattling now. when i stick my arm or leg against it it goes away,

Welp. I have tried everything. Bout to epoxy the silver piece to the black door panel. This panel design is a joke.

I mostly used open cell packaging foam, some acoustic foam too, and it works extremely well. You have to cut, place, glue, and tuck everything so it clears attachment points and secures the panel with a cush spring of foam... Thus never vibrating into a rattle.
Took me a while to get it perfect, but it is perfectly silent with zero rattles.

My 17 platinum does the same exact thing. Drove me nuts, actually thought I had blown speakers it rattled so bad but come to find out it was both driver and passenger door locks rattling. I did a quick easy fix with electrical tape. I basically kept sticking little pieces of electrical tape together making the lock switch fit just a little snugger in there. Did so making sure the lock still works fine and doesn’t have to over work to lock and unlock. You can’t even see the tape. I didn’t think it was going to work but so far zero rattle! I stuck the tape to the inside of the door housing where the door lock sits. Can’t see it and makes it just snug enough to not rattle. I prefer to Jimmy rig things anyway makes things more exciting!!

Cab noises drive me crazy. I fixed that issue by taking the switch panel off and sticking felt to all the areas that might vibrate. I also use car wash sponges in the dash. I tear pieces off and tuff them in areas that the sound is coming from. Works pretty well.

Mine was like that new, and is still like that in the summer after tracking a few of them down. The winter, that is a different story. Everything loosens up after a while and the cold weather makes the gremlins come out of hiding.

Solutions to rattles include sticky sided felt, fabric tape. I did have one in my Tundra it was horrible when someone sat in the back seat. Long story short it was one of the front bolts seat frame bolts, in end I just left snug, tightened bolt, didn't help, insulated washers, didn't help. In end when bolt was loose noise ceased when tight it creaked bad, lol. Other than than zero noises.

It looks like the entire thing is covered, that's pretty substantial. Think it was all needed? (Trying to gauge what I need to purchase).

Oh I definitely went for overkill.

You really only need address the points of contact and anything that might be loose or become loose. I'm a little nuts when it comes to the acoustic treatment of all of the trucks surfaces. This amount of foam is necessary to me due to the audio system and my zero tolerance for any noise or rattles, especially the doors. I would safely say you could use just a few pieces for each door, mostly around the switches and cables, and around the speaker.

Did anyone find that the panel clips themselves vibrate/rattle?
