Considering upgrading front and rear suspension to Elka 0-2" DC reservoir coilovers and rear shocks. Was hoping to get some input from those who have actually installed them. Want to raise the front 2" and add the +1 coachbuilder shackles for the rear. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? I know several members have purchased them recently. Really would like some first hand feedback from those who have actually installed the DC version.

I have the 2-3 inch version. Pretty hard to find a negative... They ride great and being aluminum they will probably last longer. The adjustable part works well. I also have +1 shackles, but bought a set of Alcan springs with a 1 inch lift built into them.

You might consider not ordering directly from Elka if you live in the United States. Mine were stuck in customs and Elka wasnt all that concerned. They're probably delt with that before though. I never have.

If I had to do it over again, I'd still buy Elka.

Thanks for the info. Did you use new UCA's with the 2-3"? If so which UCA did you use?

I used light racing upper control arms. But I had them on my truck from when I had fat Bob's coilovers. Mine had the older ball joints, but I bought the upgraded version with zerk fittings. The new version of spc light racing ucas come with the upgraded ball joints.

I have no problems getting a good alignment with them.

Here's the thing though, if you are only going with a Max of 2 inches of lift, you probably won't need anything but the stock upper control arms that come with your truck to get a good alignment.

But, if you decide to go with these ucas, which in my opinion are the best bang for the buck, I would buy then from Wheeler's off road. Either call or email and you will get a discount for being on the forum. There is another popular vender here that sell them, but they never responded to PM's, emails and phone calls. Just my personal experience.

Anyway I'm happy with my purchase on all of the suspension work I've done.

I also installed Superbumps from Wheeler's in front and rear. I didn't get a picture of the rear with the Superbumps though.

You will have to grind out the lower coilover mount in order to get these to fit in the front. Most likely... I had to with mine. There's a pic below. I also used a product called t9 to coat and protect my suspension parts.

Looks fantastic. Thought about buying the 2-3" version and setting them at 2" until I have the money to install UCA's but from what I understand their will be contact issues with the stock UCA's and that is why Elka says aftermarket UCA's are required regardless of lift setting.

    Thoughts?

I installed my Elka 0-2 DC front and DC rear along with TC 3/4" shackles on Saturday. Put them in right out of the box and haven't touched either preload or compression. I'll guess front is up less than two inches. Alignment came out great with stock uppers and all the electronics work normally with no re-calibration visit to the dealer necessary. Drives great on the street. Offroad test after tires go on. Here is the rake right after. I suspect front might droop a little with a few more miles. Extremely pleased.

If they say it's the case, they would know best. I hadn't thought about it since I already had SPC ucas.

Derek we've done a few of these on the Tundras here at Toyteclifts and the guys said its night and day ride quality wise. It's also awesome how they are aluminum now and can control your compression and rebound. Shoot me a message if you need help or just reach out to us over at Toyteclifts.

Ready to pull the trigger. Can you PM me a quote for the front and rear 2-3" DCs?
