I highly recommend the Fortin products. Check out the EVO-One or the EVO-All. They have fantastic installation instructions and they give you a one time use pass to www.wirecolor.com which makes the installation even easier. It allows you to use your factory FOB.

I still wanted some extra range so I'm going with a CrimeStopper remote start, no programming from a dealer is required.

Yeah, he's selling Crimestopper products. I ordered my Crimestopper from Amazon for less than $100. But you'll also need an immobilizer bypass. If you just want to use your factory FOB, get the Fortin bypass, it's all you'll need. You'll probably also have to buy their programmer.

I don't think the Tundra is t-harness compatible. Attached will help.

Also, if you get the Crimestopper, don't get the evo-all or the evo-one, they will work but are overly advanced.

Get the Evo-key, it is pre-loaded with software and is a simple bypass that works with the crimestopper.

Oops, just realized yours is a 2016. Might not be 100% applicable but I don't imagine the connectors will be much different.

Does anyone know the range of the OEM remote start for the 2017 Tundra?

I believe they are limited to your key FOB range. Test it yourself, take a few steps away and try it, rinse and repeat.
