My friend f'd up the ride of his 2016 F-150

    I know, let the Ford bashing begin.

    He put 2" spacers and 35" Toyo AT's on his 2016 Lariat. The ride went from smooth and well mannered to bumpy/hoppy/wandering. This is not an alignment issue. Just changing tire tread pattern and size.

    So the question that I have for you guys, how does the Tundra respond to the bigger tires or more aggressive treads? Does the ride get harsher and more bouncy? Does the steering get more vague?

    I want to hear from you guys so that I make an informed choice when I buy new tires.

    2" is a big wheel spacer. (Or do u mean suspension spacer?) Of course with a more aggressive tire the ride won't be as smooth...but it will handle obstacles and certain bumps better than stocks will. No issues with my 35"

    Lift kit, Borla exhaust, 35 inch tires
    I have 35/20 mt and don't fell I'm giving up anything based on driving loaner models. My truck is tight doesn't wander, hop, bounce anything. Tire noise only noticeable difference which is small price for driving a nice truck.

    I guess he will have to experiment with pressures. I drove it the day he got the tires mounted and alignment checked. I had it on local roads and the highway, we drove for about 1.5 hours. The ride absolutely sucked.

    Not enough air and it will wander bad. Too much air and it will bounce and feel stiff.

    295 70 18 cooper stt and no handling issues. The steering is great. I think you're pretty safe with your Tundra.

    I have my snows on the truck right now, but come spring time, I need to decide on tires. I was going to go with a/t tires in stock or very close to stock 18" size. However, I don't want the ride quality to suffer.

    Maybe. It rode very well before. I liked the ride better than the Tundra. Now, it is horrible.

    It's the spacer lift, not the tires. If you're just changing tires, you'll be okay

    I rode the Lariat with the 5.0 and I agree that it rides better than our tundras. feel much lighter and quieter .
