First off, new member and new to Tundras.....2019 Platinum. It has been a great week and a half as an owner, until I started the LED swap.....so now you know how I found my way here....after it was too late, LOL.

So, I have searched, and read...again all too little, too late I’m afraid. I was swapping the map/dome to LED and apparently pushed the bulb into the socket too hard because it smoked, smells like burned wire and none of my interior lights work now. It did blow the 7a fuse under the hood. Replaced fuse But still no light and I’ve checked with the light switch in both positions.

I’ve read thru various threads on multiple forums, but didn’t seem to run across this scenario. I still have power in the overhead console because the sunroof still works. My guess is I burned the wiring somewhere in the console lighting circuit and need to find a replacement. Everything else seems to work...Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome and links....I’ve progress past both of those steps, LOL! Found blown fuse under the hood and replaced. Have removed overhead console per step by step instructions, realigned the connectors and still have no lights...

Hmmm....did you find what was causing the burn smell?

No I didn’t...nothing looks burnt nor melted, but I feel like if it was enough smoke to make the cab smell like burned wire, something inside the console must be damaged.

If fuse is new, switches are on, new bulb seated in the socket properly...would be good to take it apart and see if a wire did burn out just to eliminate the issue.
Otherwise I would be stumped and would hope someone could chime in and give input...

Mine blew a 7.5a fuse on the interior fuse panel.

Scuba, your reply helped me solve the issue. I went back to the fuse block under the dash one more time. The only 7A fuse was good. As every other post I had seen also mentioned 7A fuse, so I thought all was good. While scratching my head before folding my big ass back under the dash to put the cover back on the fuse block, I read the diagram. Low and behold, the dome light fuse on my ‘19 is actually a 10A rather than the 7A.....it was blown. Dome lights back to fully functioning.

Lesson learned......always read the fuse diagram even when everyone else knows what they are talking about LOL ‍♂️‍♂️.

Thanks for the welcome and replies. Now, back to enjoying the Tundra.
