Just bought truck slightly used 8k on odometer and was wiping her down when I noticed these spots on hood and front chrome. I would love to get some suggestions on what to do.0CEF4F5D-3E62-4D98-B1F1-8946AA8908D5.jpg B1C8F4E4-D989-4F20-B169-2FED4FAEF462.jpg 0CEF4F5D-3E62-4D98-B1F1-8946AA8908D5.jpg

Looks like mineral deposits to me, likely from hard water. It could be bird shit residue that ate the clear coat but that's a lot of poop.
@War Machine used a product called Optimum MDR (I think it stands for mineral deposit remover) that may work for you there.
Also I hear really really good things about Shine Supply's water spot remover. I have CarPro spotless water spot remover but I haven't tried it yet. One of those products, a couple good clean microfiber towels, and some elbow grease may do the trick. If it's not working you may need to try a hand or machine polishing with a decent polish.

Thanks for the advice I’ll get some and try it.
