It's the Grip Pro from Powertrax. They should be available by February.

Powertrax? Another LSD? I'm saving for air locker(s). Probably not the best option for the road only bunch though.

    Flux capacitor!
I put 57k miles on my Auburn LSD and I had no issues at all. I do remember Auburn telling me to NOT use synthetic oil and have a 80-90 Weight oil with additive. If not the LSD would wear out prematurely. They said a lot of installers will miss this step.

I saw the grip pro says dino lube too. You do wonder how many shops default to synthetic

Sounds like some guys ran synthetic gear oil? Auburn recommends conventional gear oil. I don't plan on pounding the shit outta my truck on the pavement. I just need both wheels to put power on the ground when the road or trail is snowy or muddy.

Its pretty clear that you do not use synthetic with the Auburn. I have 110k miles on mine with plenty of use. Follow the instructions on maintenance and use the proper additive (i use the motorcraft from Ford) and it will last fine(at least mine has)

Will the Powertrax be a gear type like a helical instead of a clutch pack? If so, sign me up now! Lol

yes, appears to be a gear type according to their website.

    https://www.powertrax.com/product-info/powertrax-grip-pro-traction-system/

Using 3×2 spiral gear technology, the POWERTRAX® Grip Pro delivers progressive and variable traction. Based off of throttle input, you are in control of how much traction is applied. Great for use where finesse is as important as brutal traction is. On the road, in rain & snow, and on the track, Grip Pro is a winner!

The POWERTRAX® Grip Pro comes fully assembled. Because there are no friction plates, no friction modifier additive is necessary. Always use a 80W-90 weight petroleum based gear oil with a GL-5 (or higher) rating, friction additive/modifiers should NOT BE USED. Synthetic oils and oils containing friction modifiers are not recommended.

Love my Auburn Pro! I only played with it once on dry pavement just to test it. The result was a big smile!

Good to know. I wonder why the delays. Any further delays and I may just go with the Auburn Pro.

JEGS appears to have the best price on the PRO, Part Number: 109-5420134
They identify it as an HP on their web page, but I have confirmed it is the PRO.

We’ve waited this long for a non clutch lsd might as well hold out a little longer

They told me it is in production, which is better than in development i guess

Powertrax told me late March is the tentative release date when i called 2 weeks ago. Delays importing thru customs could push it into April or May
