Since we have gone off topic the previous owner put slightly oversized KO2 on my Tundra (285/65-18). 3 are like new while the 4th is 2 years older and about half worn. Since I don't use it much I've dragged my feet about replacing that one tire. With tax and balancing it'll be well over $300.

At that point you might as well buy 2 and use the newer of the 2 coming off to update the spare.

I have 42k on mine. Daily driver and some off road. I am thinking they should get me through the winter.

I just dumped the Michelins on my 2017 CM at 34k and went with Goodyears.
Personally I’ve never really liked Michelin for a truck tire but they were toast. Worn almost to the wear bars.
They don’t wear AT ALL well for me and my driving.

A lot of interesting discussion here. I’ve been pissed off at oem tire choices since a new Jetta I had in high school. Recently my wife’s sienna needed new tires at 16k miles!! Although I’m convinced that’s from the stupidly low tire pressure rating from the factory (wear pattern was horrible). Put defenders on, hopefully they last until we don’t need a van.

I agree with those who say dealers are choosing the tires that provide the highest comfort and lowest noise for oem, and those choices usually wear like crap. LT Tires do seem to last quite a bit longer, so I’ll be going that route when the Michelin’s I have now burn out.

Agreed, I’m at 22k and I feel they have wore a lot more than they should’ve under normally driving conditions.

The OEM tires, Bridgestones I think, lasted a good 60k miles. Since I run winter tires for 5 months of the year it's not exact science as to how many miles they went. But it had over 100k on it when I replaced them and the tires had a little life left in them. I don't think I could have safely got a whole summer out of them so I just replaced them. I took the advice of others and replaced them with Falkens that I hate. They are noisy and are already worn out after less than 2 summers.
