It's finally time to make an introduction and build thread. I've been lurking for many years on this forum gaining some valuable knowledge and its about time I make a build thread and share some of my experiences with my Tundra.

I am from the Charleston, WV area and purchased my 2016 TRD Pro DC back in October of 2015. Here's the first picture I ever took of it when I brought it home:

The truck has gone through a couple iterations but I finally think I pretty much have it where I want it, at least that's what I say now. Here's how it currently sits:

It's been across the country 3 times now and has many more trips in the future. Just a few shots from our many travels:

    Thanks everyone!

I cant say enough good things about the GFC crew when you go to get it installed. They take their time and really make sure you know all the functionality of the camper. Spent 5 straight nights in it right after picking it up and couldn't be happier. The only downside is the wait. I put my order in back in October of 2018 so it was basically 1 full year until when I got word it was ready for install.

Very nice set up. Worth the wait on a well built camper.

No doubt, the current expected wait time is insane. Just glad I jumped on it when I did, no way I could wait over a year for one now

Go Fast is for sure a capable rig, i would be afraid the wait would have me looking elsewhere.
Let us know how you’re using it and take lots if pics of the places you'll be visiting!!!

A few shots from the trip out to pick up the camper and explore around Montana and Wyoming.

First nights camp on the Gallatin River

Attempted to hike Middle Teton but turned back when we reached the lower saddle, too much snow and ice on the rocks made the last push sketchy.

Camping around Teton offers some amazing spots with great views of the mountain range

Hey, hows it going? I need to get back up there. Last time I went up there it was a sloppy mess and all the side-by-sides were very perplexed by me in my truck up there, haha.

For sure! I'll get some pics tomorrow. I used to have the full back seat gone with a custom platform but have since had to add back in the smaller seat due to an addition in the family recently. I cut down the platform to work with the smaller-side seat being in there.

Cool man. Family additions are a good thing! Thanks for sharing the build.

And also WV is an awesome state. Done a fair bit of exploring in Monongahela and its a good time for sure.

Here are some quick shots of the platform and storage I built in the back seat. I used 1/2” MDF if I recall correctly and then used a couple Grey Man Tactical molle panels to store some bags on.

    Current truck bed build out.

Spent some time before picking up my GoFast Camper building some storage and sleeping platforms in the bed of my truck. Took some inspiration from a few others so I can’t take credit for the idea on the fold-out style sleeping platform that seconds as a bench when folded up. Hopefully that will come in handy if we’re ever camping in inclement weather and want to hang out inside.

Also installed the cargo net to store soft goods to keep them out of the way. Lastly, put in some small Goal Zero lights to run off my Yeti 400.

I’ve added a few things to the truck build since last update.

First was a Renogy 160 W solar panel on a custom 80/20 extrusion roof rack I made for the GoFastCamper (thanks to the GoFast owners Facebook group for the idea).

Next was an Expedition Essentials 11lb propane tank mount I added to my modified Wilco Hitchgate Max swingout.

Also jumped on board for the AJT Designs trim. I went with red and hope to get some more red trim pieces in the future to tie it all together.

Lastly, got a Blue Ridge Overland Gear headrest Velcro Mount and two pouches. These fit perfectly on the Tundra headrest.

Picked up a new battery during the recent Batteries Plus sale and rebate period. Went with a X2/Northstar 27F since I plan to possibly run a winch in the future along with some other electronics maybe. I didn’t have any issues with the stock battery surprisingly, was still original and working fine for over 4 years. Also added the SDHQ billet terminals and a battery tie down by @Coupe.

@TheBeast I didn’t get the SDHQ tie down, just the billet terminals from them. This is the tie down that the forum member Coupe makes.

Added a few things to the truck and camper over the last few months.

ARB Single Compressor on a Mount I found on eBay.

Duluth Seat Back Bunker. Idea came from the GFC forums and it fits and matches perfectly, like it was made for Go Fast Campers.

I also changed up the bed configuration. Realized I only needed one side of drawers/storage so I removed both and re-did the one side. Also added some storage along the outside.

Lastly, added a bedrug to the tailgate since we use it a lot to not only cook on and meal prep but it’s also how we get into the camper so needed a little more cushion. Also added a handle to inside of tailgate to make closing it easier from inside camper.
