Anyone else get a letter from the VA talking about Health Information Exchange (HIE)?

Yep. Figured it would happen eventually with folks getting the ability to go to a doc outside the VA without having to jump through miles of hoops.

I have to read up on specifics before I decide. I just got the letter in the mail today. As of right now, I am not being seen outside the VA for medical (or inside the VA as I wait for them to authorize me to get cut open again).

If you opt out, make sure to check if a release authorization, for what you think is a one time release, doesnt end up enrolling you in the new program. You know how they like to do that kind of crap.
