This is my write up for adding the hood buldge amber light grill. Grill is found off eBay. Pic is posted and will do quick write up pics in order. First off the eBay auction says it’s plastic. It arrived and I was happily surprised that the grill is metal! The ambers are basic but the grill is meant for it so it looks solid. It literally bolts in place of the stock grill. The only note on install is I had to add couple of washers for a tight fit (metal is slimmer than the plastic). Do not forget to add silicon to the back of the ambers. On to the wiring.

I did not want to lose my amber halogen light function. But I didn’t want my new lights to flash while using the blinkers. So I printed out the wiring diagram and found the best bet. It is still located on the flasher connector that’s behind the drivers side kick panel on the left side j29 in pic (right about knee height once panel is removed). Connect your power wire to you ambers to the solid white wire on pin 3. This will make your ambers turn on solid when the key is in the on position. I added a smaller 4 amp fuse for the just in case moments (stock fuse for that circuits relay is 7.5a) once you find that wire just run your power wire up through the firewall and into the hood.

I drilled a small hole on the hood hinge to allow the use of the pushpin zip tie to tidy up the install (I hate seeing aftermarket wires hanging) to give it a nice stock look. I added quick connectors to all the lights in case one needed to be replaced. I also added quick connection so the hood buldge could be removed easily. Not much more detail can be added.

-Zip tie push pins I had but can be found in automotive section at Lowe’s or Napa has them.

-quick connectors bought at Lowe’s along with the wires.

-Ambers even come on solid when remote start active

-Ambers DO NOT blink when locking or unlocking

If you have halogen drl’s and want to keep their stock function, and you are adding the raptor grill. This same write up will work for you just be different of the routing of the wires.

    None, yet.
Hi. Just bought a very similar grill with lights. Like yours, each light has a pigtail on it. How did you bring them all together for one ground connection and one power connection. Did you just jump one to the next or am I missing something?
    Thanks.

Yea. When I installed it I had tied all together to have one ground wire and one positive wire. I made them have quick connections on each so that if one bulb went out it was easy to take it out and install a new one. I changed the front end look already because I added a light bar for night time use
