Got an estimate to do line x premium on my truck for 649.00 and 499.00 for regular. Is it worth it to pay the extra 149.00

Ask them what the thickness difference is.
From what i know 1/8" is standard and 3/16" is HD. Obviously thats an estimate but they should be able to tell you.
    What do you haul?
Anything that could cause deep gouges?

Premium (colour matching?), I had colour matching on my truck and it was ok (the matching part). I'm a paint contractor and have spilled some nasty chemicals on it and it has held up very well, I would do line X on my next truck for sure

Premium is the uv protection. If you have a tonneau or park in garage, you'll be fine with regular.

I'm getting mine done in a few weeks and opted for the premium even though I have a tonneau. Future proofing myself if I decide to take it off or sell the truck. Plus the black Friday special of $550 for a 6.5' bed was hard to pass up.

I got it done back in 2010 for $625. It used to be called 'Line x Extra with color match.' I am not sure what it is called now. It was the most expensive option back then. I am sure the price has gone up somewhat since them.

I had them without a tonneau cover for a couple of years (Mine is always parked outside). Still looked new when I put the cover on. I have a few minor scratches now, but still looks great. I will definitely get this done for my next truck.

I've got regular Linex in the box and the color match premium on the rockers/etc. I'd go with the premium, unless budget is a major concern.

Rhino is a nonstarter around here. Local dealer has a horrible reputation.

premium here. Got that little shine that makes it look new. I think it's worth it over regular. What's $150 extra over the ownership period of your truck ? I tend to keep my cars for a long time.

TRD sway bar, matching mirror cover, 20% tint, esp aluminum box, Line-X premium, Undercover Flex tonneau cover, led interior lights, winjet smoked tail lights. Road armor rear bumper w/ road armor shackles, go rhino front bumper.
Got premium, it's worth the extra $150.

Someone I know had Rhino on their Tundra. No difference to me. Didn't seem to hold up any better than my Line X. I thought my Line X looked better IMO. I mainly went with Line X since the local installer is only a couple minutes from my house. Will use that again on next truck.

Glad your going Line-X. This is my 2015 F-250 work truck, 3200 miles and my company went with Rhino linings. Pics speak for themselves.....

    IMG_0370.jpg IMG_0369.jpg IMG_0368.jpg

Cracked and tearing. You can see the paint wasn't even prepped for this liner.

I'm turning this over to the fleet department. We pay good money for 200 new vehicles per year (cycle 200 out of 1500).

I agree. I would never do Rhino Lining on my trucks. I had a buddy with the exact same problem. The Rhino lining started to crack and peel in various places. Line X has held up on every truck I've had.

    @ColoradoTJ

That is brutal. And about par for the course for Rhino around here too. Plus, the local Rhino dealer gets borderline belligerent about it when peeps complain... Bizarre way to run a business.

Here is the crap sandwich we have to eat as well. We have to swap companies every year so we don't show favoritism since we are a Municipal Governed Utility. So in 15' we used Rhino, this year we used Line-X. Politics at its finest.

When it's the year to use Rhino Lining maybe you just have them coat a trash can? Then use Line X the next year on the company trucks. Lol

Absolutely! Can't go purchasing/hiring/firing/awarding contracts based on merits, quality and performance! That'd be unfair and so so unjust... Imagine all the hurt feelers...
