Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
I need a mirror with 17 pins and thankfully I think I found one on ebay - should be here in a few days & I'll post up my results.
    Have a great day!

I removed mine, even with wheel spacers, the flares made the tires look tucked in too much. Depending on how long they have been on the truck, they may require some buffing. Mine have a few spots where it kinda dug a groove into the paint but you can only see it if you are looking closely.

Thanks for the link to your build. For whatever reason if you look at the flares long enough, they look weird to me. Hard to explain. My 12 Taco flares looked great. Thanks again for help fellas.

I pulled the flares off. I like it without, but where the rubber trim rides on each one has def etched themselves into the paint. Gonna try and buff it out but it's deep.

I will pick some up Ron. Funny because it still looks like the flares are still on it due to the scratches.
Looks a helluva lot better without them though.

You'll be happy with the Griots Complete Compound...if you're using a DA, match it up with some of their BOSS pads (I'd start with the orange ones) and have at it

    Didn't do this today but:
Broke my drivers mirror last Monday :annoyed:, found a used whole assembly on ebay for ONLY $300 that had all the pin connections I needed (17) for power folding, power adjustment, auto dimming, turn signal & defrost - thankfully it was plug and play. OEM from the stealership was $780, uninstalled! and $380 just for the glass!
The replacement mirror has an icon for a blind spot warning I guess, I don't have that option on my older '07, so it will go unused.
I want to note that it took rubbing alcohol and elbow grease to get the fluid that leaked from the mirror off the side of my truck - a power washer didn't budge it! I wonder if that was the defrost fluid? Anyway I got it fixed Friday - but mirrors that cost north of $300 are ridiculousness!

Wait, what fluid in the mirrors? They're electrically defrosted. I'm curious as to what it could be, I can't even speculate.

Ohhhh, I did not know this, I always assumed it was an entirely electrical phenomenon. No v+, no dimming; v, dimming.
