Received and installed my GTR Gen3 LED headlight bulbs today from Headlight Revolution. Big difference compared to the old Halogen bulbs. Can you say "Let there be light" Just had one small question while doing the install and Anthony was quick top answer and this at 5pm.

    IMG_1992.jpg

The pictures don't do the brightness of these bulbs justice.

I went back to a Taco, TRD Off Road

Loved the power of the Tundra, was awesome. Interior of the 1794 was fantastic, but it was too nice. I like to hunt and fish, go camping, and I messed up by getting such a nice interior because I was afraid of messing it up. And due to the size of the Tundra it limited some areas I could take it. Then I should have bought the OR option on it, I like the feel of the ride so much more than the standard suspension.

The Taco is seriously lacking in bottom end power, but rev it up and it goes fine. Love the rest of the truck

All your points are bang on. I came from the Tacoma, and the sizes of the trucks due limit some of the off road world, or at least make it a different approach. I took the TRD Tundra for that very reason of not overly nice, so I could hit the camp spots and not worry.

Good luck with your Taco, hope you're on TacomaWorld.com!

I'm on that forum. Funny thing is there are a lot of jackasse$ on there who will talk... stuff... if you disagree with them or get a better deal than they did. They need to put their big boy pants on and not get so butthurt so easily.

Yeah I've been on both sites and sadly with the size of community, you seem to get more of those than you do here.
The Facebook group I joined, I instantly regretted it just reading through comments on there.

More people doesn't always mean a better time. Sadly.
    Good community right here though.

Finally got all of my hardware to install the barely used TRD Skid Plate I bought off Craigslist. Local 2017 Tundra TRD Pro owner lifted his Pro 4" and sold me his skid plate with just 500 miles on it for $200. Most of the hardware was missing, so @Roman of Toyota of Cool Springs ordered the hardware kit. Some of the parts are unique and I wanted to 'do the install right' with the proper spacers and the special 'angle washers'. So, thanks to Roman again for helping me out! Why install a skid plate on a 2WD? Because 2016 Platinum 2WD does not come with any type of skid plate, and I wanted the extra protection - AND BECAUSE I CAN! :muscleflexing:

Here's the parts included in the kit.

Jaheeezus! 1 bar of 5 installed. Ops check of the light. Pictures do these things no justice.

Update: Stopping at one. Haha. Might be enough for now. Behind the grill install. Not too bad

The skid plate normally comes with most of the hardware installed, but this kit includes everything. The rivets are to attach a black flap that is pre-attached from the factory shown circled in the pic below.

Yeah, but I got what I got. No complaints here! The 52" bar was a tad too large for that area. Lol
