I just put the Xtang 2.0 Tri-fold Hard Cover on my 2017 Limited with Rail System. I had to mount some brackets in the Rail System in order to secure the cover. It was a fairly straight forward install. I love the sleek profile and how solid it is.

The only install issue that concerned me was the Tundra Rail system is ALMOST to short for the rear rail bracket to mount in order to catch the "spring loaded bracket". The side rails could be about 2" longer to ease the installation

We had 2 consecutive days of snow/rain since my install and it was dry inside the box. Today I washed my truck and again I didn't find any water within the box. I know it's only been a few days but so far I love it!!

One thing I noticed is that water creeps in the sides where the rails are clamped onto the truck bed caps. I think I may pull them back off and put a thin layer of butyl tape in the corner edge to help cut down on water ingress. I realize it will not be water tight but I think I can get it better.

I have the full metal jackrabbit and factory bed rail system. You don't have to remove the rails, but you do have to remove the movable tie-down points. The version I got uses the rail system to attach to. So far, I like the set up.

That's the one I had years ago on my first truck and loved it. Still thinking about getting it for my Tundra.

I went with the Truxedo Lo Pro since it seemed to come very highly recommended, just got done installing it.

Posting this because I couldn't get the answer, even from Extang!

I have the Amp Research bed extender and deck rail system and was asking around if the solid fold rear clamp would be obstructed by the extender. No definitive answer from Internet searches. One site that sales the cover even stated that cover will not fit with flip out bed extender. Was able to try it out from a private party sale on CL and it fits fine, no obstruction.

So for those with bed extender and are thinking about Solid Fold 2.0, it fits fine.

Just put on my Bak revolver X2. very nice quality. shitty pics but here it is.
I liked how this one relocated the bed rails about 2 inches lower allowing me to still use them.

MadMan, this is what I'm looking at for my CM. Did you lose your tie down tracks when you installed this? and do you have any Pictures?

I'll try and get some pics today and post. No I didn't lose the racks, that's the reason I got this one. The cover actually attaches to the truck via the racks, no drilling required.

A look at the cover closed up

    upload_2017-1-29_11-36-57.jpg
You still get about 12" clearance under the box

You can see the front cover attachment

    The rear attachment

That's awesome Man!!! I love how it mounts right inside the track and it looks like it doesn't interfere with the tie down cleats. Do you find that you miss those 11" in the front of the box? Did you do the install yourself? and was it hard?

No, not really. The times I carried a full load I've had to drop the tailgate once or twice. I've always got cargo straps with me though.

So I have been looking into getting a Tonneau cover for my truck. I don't want to spend a ton of money for something to cover the bed so I was wondering if anyone has had one with snaps or velcro? I have found a few with different types of snaps. I found one that had velcro on the sides but it was not for the fleetside bed on the access cab truck. Anyone have any experience with either and any suggestions on what you liked best?
    Thanks

Are you asking about soft tops or hard tops? I have a cheap one, easy install, tri fold, no water gets in, led lights inside, and I only spent $600.

My friend has one of those super cheapo Tri folds from Amazon. I think it was like $200. I thought it would have fallen apart by now, but 2 years later it still looks and works well.

Tonnopro.com has a tri-fold tonneau cover I like. They were 259.00, but now 289.00. I guess I should have made my purchase sooner. What the Hell!! Anyone have this one and how does it work for you?

Late to the party but I've had multiple Peragon bed covers . Love them great customer service . You buy direct from them.

I'll echo the quality, price, and customer service of Peragon are top notch. It folds up in the front of the bed and only takes up about 10inches of the bed and if you need the extra spaces the whole thing can be removed in under a minute or two (no exaggeration).

The only thing I don't like about it is the way it opens...you have to push down on the front panels to get it started and then it folds the rest of the way by itself. That is not a problem in and of itself, but after the truck has been sitting outside in the hot south Texas sun the cover will burn your fingertips off and can literally be a pain to open.

That does look like a nice cover but a little pricier than I would like. But that is a different design than I have seen before.

I can tell you from personal ownership it's a great cover. There customer service is top notch. If your planning on having your vehicle multiple years . I would give it a serious look.

Not a Tonnopro, but I've got something very similar. Trifecta 2.0 by Extang. Canvas tri-fold cover. I've had it about 3-4 months now and love it. Have driven through some serious storms and kept everything dry in the back. Similar price to the tonnopro you mentioned. Install is super easy...about 10 minutes. IMG_3065.jpgIMG_3067.jpg
