3" conversion

    2013 Black Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior
    How hard is it to convert the GG6 from a 5 or 6" back plate to a 3"? Just as simple as swapping plates or there additional mods that need to be done? Would be nice in some areas to have a smaller pad to work the surface than using the large pad or doing by hand

    Yup just swap plates. Make sure you don't lose the little fiber washer/spacer. I think griot's makes 3" backers, but I would recommend lake country backing plates, high quality and always priced well.

    Some people will also swap counterweights as well. I never had an issue with using the 6" counterweight that came with the GG6 while using a 5" backing plate.

    They have 3 and 3.5"
    The 3" would need 3.25"+ pads
    The 3.5" would need 4" padd

    I made an executive decision and bought a LC 3" plate with Griot's pads. I couldn't wait for autogeek shipping so I got off Amazon in time to do my detail this weekend. Else I would have gotten LC pads
