Bose will have some clean output. Can't speak for the other brands.

Again for Bose. Although I'm partial to the Marshall because I use their amps.

I have a boss. Its decent but nothing like the marshal. I saw one for the first time not long ago and the output for a small speaker is unbelievable. I mean unbelievable.
I came down the stairs in a cabin we rented and thought my buddies found the home stereo but it was just the little marshal.

You should check out the Sony SRSX88. About the same price as Bose Soundlink 3 but in my opinion has a more natural and powerful sound.

I own the Sony and have access to the Bose at work.. I have literally nerded out with a side by side.

I just picked up a Sonos 3. I like it so far. I will say if it's something that you truly want to be portable to move around a lot it may not be the best bet.

thanks for all the feedback much appreciated I actually went to best buy and tested them out each of these are priced about the same between $299 and $350 I like the braven its sounds really good but I haven't seen the brand around and don't know much about it so I think I might go with the Bose just to be safe I have bose surround at home and its amazing I really wanted the sonos but I realized its not a bluetooth its only wifi so that was kinda of the deal breaker for sonos

Hard to go wrong with Bose. My neighbor is an electrical engineer and he recommended the Braven. We have a Jambox that works well but takes fooooreeeever to charge. My daughters perform professionally outdoors and we use an Ion Block rocker for that 'cause it's blue tooth and has a microphone.

    +1 on the UE products.

I picked up the UE Boom 2 for my fiance after her six year old Bose speaker quit working. They're waterproof and the option to link up to three is a nice feature as well. She has no complaints so far and pretty much uses it daily.

Best Buy has both options on sale right now too!

Settled for the Big Jambox from Jawbone and haven't been disappointed. Sure there are nicer ones out there but for the money Jawbone fits our needs.

I know Bose has a crisp sound but have you listened to Audio Technica? The others on the list I've haven't listened to.

Bose is great if you can afford them. I have a G Boom. It is around $100. Gets loud and sounds very good. Pretty good bass.

I have the Bose Sound Link and the Bose Color Link. The sound is unparalleled AND connectivity is instantaneous. I went to Best Buy and tried connecting my phone to each portable speaker they had. Bose was second to none. JBL was VERY disappointing. Never got it to connect. The sound from alot of the others sucked.
