It may be different with sweet corn versus field corn, but I don’t recall ever seeing deer feeding on ears in field corn. They’ll eat leaves for sure, I’ve just never seen em go for the ear.

Try a Carolina Reaper pepper blended with vegetable oil or water soaked overnight then sprayed on the plant’s leaves. Sit back, open a beer, and watch the show!

They will. I have seen them do it. They will even eat it when its seed corn and its left to brown and dry up.

We have all three. Black tail mainly on the west side of the state, coastal. Muleys and whitetail all over my area. Mainly muleys up high and dry land farms. Whitetail foothills and river outlets.

Do ya generally see one or two types of deer eating corn ears? Here in NE CO, we generally see white tails more around the irrigated corn, with muleys further out in the dry land and pasture. But we’re still predominantly a muley state.

Mainly muleys. I hunt a few spots with corn and potatoes. Seems they eat almost anything. Whitetail seem to be either picky or stick to softer stuff because it's closer to a water source. I mean I know they eat acorns and what not that are hard foods, but we dont have that over here. Hardest thing I see them eat is willow branches.
