Does anyone have a gun safe in the front or rear seat area for a Crew Max with the 40/20/40 front seat configuration?

I do not have the center console because of the front seat configuration. I've seen the long gun storage for the rear seats, but they raise the seats 3".

    Any advice or products?

    Thanks,
    Sam

I just had a safe installed under the back seat of my crew max. Even my thinnest gun case wouldn’t fit under my seat with how little room there is. Since there is a dead space underneath the truck with it being raised so much there, it’s a perfect spot to install a small safe. Not gonna be helpful if you are needing one for a rifle, but for a small hand gun it’s doable.

Nice, looks like a clean install. Do you know the dimensions of the safe? Or do you have the make/model of it?

    Thanks,
    Sam

Locker down makes a great long gun storage, the crew max version requires lifting the back seats 3” and it has one door not two like the extended version which allows quick access to firearm from the drivers side . The crewmax version requires having both seats up to gain access to interior of box. And the biggest issue 1250.00!!! (Not sure if comes with an ar15 an 1k rounds in it) just kidding, its a serious security box, but it is expensive!

    I found a similar product at esptruck.com.

It’s aluminum instead of steel and the seats don’t get raised three inches like the locker down product.

I looked at that one too. It has two Things that Im not sure of. The biggest one is that it’s made from aluminum. Second, it as a single cam bolt for lock in each section.
I worry that even a smash and grab guy can use a hammer and pry open the edge gaining access to the rifle inside.
The fact that in rests inside the void area is genius!
Man I would love see this product in 10 gauge cold rolled steel with separate compartments to facilitate a three point lock utilizing steel rods. Like cabinets.

I agree, the aluminum is the reason I haven’t bought it yet. The locks could be modified but for that price, still looking for other products. I haven’t found anything besides the ESP and lockerdown safes yet though.

Sorry that I never did reply to this. Here is the make/model. (The smaller of the two)
