heater

This winter season I noticed that it takes for ever for my truck to blow warm air, warm air not hot. What could be the problem as we are just getting in to the winter season and I don't want to freeze driving around.

 

The 2010 Crewmax I bought last month was doing the same thing. The heater was blowing warm air and air volume was severely decreased. I told the service manager about it before I returned it (long story) and he said it might be the heater coil and servo. By the time I grabbed my stuff out of it the whole dash was torn apart cuz they were trying to figure out what was wrong.

 

Mine was doing the same thing....noticed the passenger side control wasn't all the way to the left. Clicked it to the left as far as it would go and the air got Hot with a quickness.

 

Same with my 10' crewmax. When I first got it a little over a month ago, I had very little air coming out the vents, changed the cabin air filter, helped out some, still takes awhile to heat, not sure why.

 

They are designed to blow a low volume of air until the truck warms up. This way when you first start it the rush of cold air does freeze up the inside on windshield
