I need some kind steps. I prefer something high clearance. I was eyeing the GoRhino raptor style steps. I like that it's high clearance and also protect from door dings.

Anyone else have any other suggestions that I can look at?

AMP power steps are nice but over my budget....

I been seeing those! I don't want anything that drops down that low though. Those are so cheap. I might be worried about quality and strength

I've thought about that but I don't have any intentions to take this truck anywhere I will be needing sliders. Also sliders aren't the best for steps from my past experiences.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/new...nd-double-cab-bolt-on-sliders-from-sdhq.6192/

These are our sliders. I have them on my tundra, they act as a nice step although they weren't designed to be a step. They are high clearance and hug the body nicely. All 4130 chromoly steel, tig welded, and 100% bolt on. As far as I am aware, we are the only company that makes our first mounting point at the front body mount (works with body mount chops). When you drop off a ledge, the first part that is going to hit is right behind the front wheel. Most companies don't have their first frame support until 18-20" back.

There is really no in between for sliders and steps from what I have seen.

Edit: This is a frame mounted slider set.

Been meaning to ask, would it be okay to mount these raw? Will there be rust issues in the future?

Those are nice. Definitely be one of the sliders I would considered if I were to go the slider route. do you have any option to plate it so it's easier to use as a step?

I had similar thoughts in mind, ended up going with Iron Cross HD steps. I love em. High clearance but not much door ding protection, I think you will need something that sticks out pretty far for door dings.

As with any steel, it will rust. I don't know what kind of weather conditions you have in your area but if you wanted to mount them raw, I would just do a clear coat of spray paint.

We don't offer it as an option but we could probably do something for you if interested.

Leer topper, MagnaFlow, TRD CAI, TRD Hvy skid plate, and I want less chrome!
STOP!!! I just crushed my right side, Toyota brand, steps. Hauling a kayak to Lake Deweese here in Colorado for some fishing. Heading nose over a little drop and heard something scrap. Stopped and backed up. Got out again and looked, no rocks, no boulders, just some dirt. Got home and the Toyota steps where at the door sills.
Definitely think about the construction, and go for solid and real steel if you can. I didn't think about the dirt as much as I should have thought about the weight coming down on the steps.
Great question, as I was going to ask about sliders. My 2 cents, skip the steps, get rock sliders and weld them to the frame. I read that is the way to go for strength.

Those are nice. Do you have a pic from the side of the truck? I'd like to see how low they are.

I could be wrong, but I am 99.9% sure that those bolt straight to the body. If you were to drop on those, you would rip the bolts right out of the body. So those would not be a slider.

Ended up getting a great deal on some GoRhino RB10's during black friday.
Im pretty happy with them.. Makes it easier to get my folks in and out and they also act as door ding protector and it looks like it will also shield the side of my truck from tire spray since I don't have mud guards.
