Eh, you might want to delete the video with Heather's phone number on it. Other than that thanks for posting these videos, they help a bunch. That 10" sounds great!

You are welcome. Im glad some people appreciate it. There is one resonator included with the exhaust, but I havent installed it yet. Still up in the air on putting it on. Here is a picture of the exhaust before I installed it.

I dont have any hard numbers, but when I talked to Keith he said the truck would feel more responsive and drive like it was lighter. He was right on both accounts. The truck definitely drives better!!

I wasnt much of an exhaust person, but after hearing the TRD pro exhaust, I wanted that subtle sound and a little tone not a "hey look at me I have an exhauzzzttttt". I just didnt want the dual mufflers. That 8" looked like something I wanted to get in the future, but reading and hearing about the 10" I'll have to redo my future list for that. Thanks for these sound clips.

I actually wanted the duals, Keith talked me out of it. I think the 10 inch system is plenty loud. I definitely wouldn't want it any louder.

Agreed, if I were to change to another Single ,my dream system is 3" duals + headers:D I'd get Keith's 12" single. AND another Tailpipe, (Keith knows all about THAT.)

    Great thread!

Can you please give you feedback on how it compares to stock?

How’s volume level compare at idle, accel, cruising? Inside, outside? Any drone at all?

Is the tone as deep as the 8”?

On my 2010 DC 4X4, Keith's 10" single sounds deeper and more "pronounced" at idle compared to stock. While cruising, it emits just enough sound that I know exactly when and for how long my Torque Converter is locking/unlocking (exactly what I was after) This is important when towing because it's just dumb allowing a 6 speed transmission to shift itself to death when using our Sequential Shifter eliminates it completely. Under full throttle, you're reminded of what 'Muscle Cars' used to sound like! Outside, at idle, my system has a throaty 'burble' that sounds subdued and classy. No drone at any load or speed. Can't comment about comparing it to Keith's 8" system. Hope this helps!

So your saying there’s no drone without the resonator? Or did you put one on? I’m pretty much sold on the 10 inch, but I Tow a small utility trailer and am wondering if I go resonator or not....

I wouldn't consider the system without the resonator. In my opinion, these exhaust systems aren't complete without it. You questioned whether or not there was drone, the resonator eliminates the drone.

Just a friendly reminder that @dirtydeeds is having one Hell of a group buy going on right now. If anyone is remotely considering getting a system from Keith, now is the time to do it.

Way better then stock. Start up has a growl, but then quiets down at idle. Under normal driving conditions it has a deeper tone that's a tad bit louder, but not obnoxious. Where it shines is when you get on it, sounds amazing!

Without the resonator there is some drone inside the cabin. I drove it without it for a few weeks just to see what it was like. I highly recommend using the resonator, it is almost as quiet as stock on the cabin with it on.

Unfortunately I can't speak on how it sounds against the 8 inch, as I've never heard one in person.

I can tell you this, if I bought a hundred more tundras i would put the 10 inch one every one!

Sounds great without the resonator IMHO, nice and quiet except when you punch it

This is where I'm at too, I was leaning toward the 8" but I'd probably have to install resonator, but with the 10" I don't have to install the resonator which appeals to me.

I have the 10" and unless you like drone, you're going to want to put on the resonator

Here's mine without the resonator and it sounds great. But inside the cab it had a wa wa wah at certain rps.

While true that you dont have to install it. I can tell you first hand that there is drone inside the cabin without it.

How does the 10" compare in volume to the TRD duals? It's the only in-person point of reference I have. I ordered the 10 through the group buy.

You absolutely will not regret it! Its been almost a year and the exhaust makes me smile every time I drive it! Do yourself a favor and install the resonator on the first go around.

The exhaust on the RCSB sits mostly under the cab and sounds from the mufflers that are never heard in DC & CC trucks resonates into the regular cab and it can be loud ... I installed the resonator on my RCSB and it seemed to make it sound worse, this was attributed to my tail pipe being 24" shorter than stock - it was cut short because the rear suspension is lowered. I replaced the resonator with a blocking plate that Keith sent me, and it sounds great.

The resonator really only affects the drone inside the cabin. It doesnt sound any different outside the truck. And yes i did end up installing it. Without it there is a significant amount of drone inside. When I was 20, it wouldnt have bothered me, but being 44, I didnt really care for it. I would highly suggest installing when you install the exhaust. It makes the drone disappear, and doesnt affect the awesome tone of the exhaust!

During towing on the highway do you feel the 10" without the resonator is much louder or creates more drone than the factory installed non dual system and once the resonator is installed does it make much difference.
The torque and power numbers make this seem like a decent bang for the buck:thumbsup:

Yes it drones some without resonator. If you listen closely, even the stock exhaust has some drone from 1200-1800rpm. This exhaust is louder overall so yes, you can hear the drone more. Installing the resonator removes the drone, very noticeable difference. I have run the 10 inch standard stainless system for about a year now. First few months no resonator, then installed it and been like that since.

So I'd assume with a resonator installed the 10" would be slightly louder than stock when you get on the throttle. Have to agree the factory exhaust does drone somewhat when cruising in the ranges you mentioned. I notice drone around 70mph.

Bang for the buck, and with a little performance increase Dirty Deeds seems like a great option.
Hopefully they do another group buy next year...
    Thanks for the feedback.

I can't emphasize enough how much a difference the resonator makes. I drove around for about a month without it. It definitely has drone with. I installed it and couldn't be happier. You won't regret installing the resonator.
