Edit: chose the cig lighter. Initially I had a problem. But user error. Didn’t have the switch on “key” on the BD. Works now.

Posted this on the 2nd gen - got a recommendation or two -

Looking for the fuse recommendation to tap for switched power for installing a Bully Dog GT.

I tried the cig lighter - but that seems to be on a delay...as it remained on after I shut down the truck. No good...

Thinking of the AC...that shuts off when key is turned...as is 15 amp.

    Suggestions?

Interesting, on my 2012 Sequoia, I use 29 which is cig lighter and my accessories get turned off when key is in the off position.

Edit: it is fuse 29, not 27

I think the 07-13 cig lighters stay on for 3 hours after turning off the truck. I liked it in my 10. The 18 doesn’t do that.

Did you try the radio fuse?

I have not - was looking for recommendations...the Radio does stay on till the door is opened...but should be better than the cig lighter.

Going to try 21 - AC IG

No, I only had access to 15A fuses based on the add a circuit I bought so I only tried 15A fuses. I had tried a few before finding out the cig lighter fuse won't provide power without a key. I edited my post above, it is fuse 29, not 27.

Looks like rear seat heaters and a couple other options. Not on my tundra.

Got it fixed. Updated the orig post.
