Im looking at buying a tonneau cover for my '19 Tundra, should I purchase through Toyota or go through 3rd party and get a off brand? Is there really a difference or am I just paying for the name?

Buy a good one and idk if you mean " off brand" by not toyota but there are some awesome manufacturers of all kinds of covers that are really good quality. others will chime in I'm sure . I dont have a real expensive one but that's only because I had to get one I can take all the way off easy. to haul big things even a golf cart some times.

    Hey there from Virginia!:mudding:
I would buy an aftermarket. Lots of good ones out there, just research before you buy based on your needs. Also lots of good threads here on tonneaus. I would recommend that you avoid the Extang tri fold. I have one. It's heavy, dents easily, and leaks like a sieve.

When I purchased my truck and after the papers were written up I asked them to throw in a hard, tri fold tonneau cover. The Toyota dealership I purchased from put on a Rugged Cover 2 and I absolutely love it.
