I tried clear cut on my truck. It worked really good with low dusting. I was really impressed. I used a yellow hdo cutting pad, as well has meg's MF cutting discs, buff and shine urofiber MF pads and it worked well with both the foam and the microfiber.
For some deeper scratches I used a wool pad, definitely added some cut and got the job done. I will be buying more of this in the future. I finished it off with carpro essence extreme gloss enhancer on a black finishing pad and the truck came out really good.
Do you plan to finish up with a polish of some kind after you use the clear cut? You may be able to finish it all the way down with clear cut on an orange foam pad but mine definitely left some holograms and micro marring, but it was barely noticeable

Yes i have rupes mille fine and ultra fine polish and i also have essence extreme gloss enhancer. I might use rupes mille fine for the second step and use essence to prime the paint for cquartz. I will see whats needed. I am still trying different brands to see what works best for me. Its getting expensive at autogeek and detail image.com i have a rupes course wool pad 6.5 its good but i feel sometimes it doesnt cut with my flex 3401 i think when i use the 5.5 pads it cuts better.

Nice haul of goodies. I took it easy this time around. I definitely need to slow down buying crap. I'm brainstorming ideas on how to wash at home through the winter now. I have an unused washer/dryer hook up in the basement, I'm thinking I can do a little plumbing work to route some hot water into my hose spigot with a valve to slow or stop the flow of the hot water as needed. Warm water isn't the answer to washing in 10 degree weather, but it certainly won't hurt

Just buying normal over the counter detailing supplies, figured I would be in it maybe $100, until I found this forum... Adds up quick! But I don't mind paying more for higher quality stuff. I'm about 1 more order from being done for the year, then I'll post some pics

These high quality products make all the difference in the world. They are easier to use make the task go faster. The results of your hard work really show. I never was very into detailing because of the cost and the time and energy it took to make my car look good. Once i learned about things like ech2o, hydro2, IronX, clay mitts, drying towel, everything changed for the better.
