    Noo!! don't let them, ever!!!

There is something called dealer installed lover marks or dealer installed swirl marks, it very well known in the detailing world. Dealers don't have a detailer on the spot, they just have someone who washes and cleans cars, new and used, and that "knows" how to use a polisher, a rotary! none the less (total overkill of a tool for a brand new paint job) plus they run ALL their cars (used and new) through automatic car washes, which is a violation to the rules of any vehicle that is going to get paint correction/detailed. This applies to all makes/brands dealers, no exceptions.

What you did is actually the best thing any new car owner should do, it would've been even better if you were the one to remove all protecting plastics and covers and drove it straight home for its first wash (by hand) or to your detailer of trust for decontamination and paint correction if so desired. I highly suggest for you not to take it to the dealer, they are going to scratch the hell out of it, you can do the cleaning yourself with just a couple of products and you will know it was done properly and no unnecessary scratches were added to you brand new paint.

I use magma brake dust remover, spritz and rinse nice coat of wax and the issue goes away for quite a while

Haha that makes sense. I brought it in thinking they could do it there but they actually have a company they send them to for removing rail dust. Dealer said it's been happening a lot lately.

AGAIN it is 100% RAIL DUST from being transported on a train. I'm surprised cover them or cover them better than they do to prevent this.
