Trying to figure out why the back of my truck still sits higher then the front on my 072wd. I have the Bilstein 6112s up front and 5100s in the back. Are these shackles or an add a leaf? I can get better pics if needed. Thanks!9b6cffff9faa92287f54ef9a4e45c2f8_7e6c0912917da114d6f4bc74b13f2e8203da2f0f.jpga651e924d324f7c284000a8abf0c622d_3648cf45245a63cb703d7ba3e748bdf5fd570fae.jpg

Those are neither, what you have are leaf spring helper. They are designed to assist the old stock leafs carry a load with out sagging the rear of the truck. An ADD-A-LEAF goes inside the spring pack and shackles attach the leaf spring to the frame of the truck...

What kind of load are we talking about? Is this necessary? I don't really haul much but will removing it hurt anything? Thanks for the info man

It was probably added due to the stock springs getting weak by the original owner. If you remove them and the springs are weak you may notice the rear of your truck sagging especially with a moderate to heavy load in the bed...
