I would also like to be part of the Pilot program. I have a 2018 Platinum that has power folding mirrors from the factory.

I envision a modification that folds the mirrors out when starting and fold them in when the ignition is turned off. I would expect the factory button to operate manually with the switch will still work.

I would also like to have a connector that would allow me to wire up a switch of my choice to the harness that would be an "Override Button" and when pressed it would basically turn off the automatic folding. I mention this because I can see on a tight trail I would most likely have my mirrors folded in and on the trail there are times where you turn the truck on/off/on etc. and I would just like to override when I want.

Do you need any more pics?

    I have a 2015 SR5.

I can send you pics of the truck wire harness, factory 2015 non folding mirror harness, and factory Platinum folding mirror harness.

Let me know what you need, and can do it by this weekend.

    Afternoon,
I was wondering if anyone can help out with some issues I am having. I am helping my cousin out and adding the power folding mirrors to her A1 tow mirrors. She has a 2015 Tundra TSS I think. This is my first shot at this so I am not entirely sure if I am correct. The harness for the blue and yellow wire (the folding mirror loop is what I thought it was called) had broken, so I wire connected (butt connectors) them on driver and passenger. The power is tapped into the PWR outlet and it worked for awhile. When we buttoned the car back up, the fuse kept on blowing. I think the wire connection may have snagged or got disconnected. Can you take the yellow and blue wire that allows folding and insert into the existing tow light harness on the mirror and car(on an empty spot). Any help would be great?
Also, is there a special tool to pull fuses in these trucks?

Ok. The switch itself is an override over the system. It controls the system. So if you have the switch pressed in for Fold, then whether you use your key fob and hit lock or unlock, your mirrors will do nothing. They will not do anything until you press the button on your switch and Unfold your mirrors. That unlocks basically your mirrors and allows them to go back to being open to the system

    UPDATE:

Ok you SR5 Folks, and there seems to be a lot of you over here in the Tundra World compared to the Tacoma World. I may have the main harness with these Connectors.

Here are some pics of the PNP Harness with the SR5 model OEM F/M Connectors that were delivered to me last night. I was able to mock up the FIRST SR5 Plug-N-Play Power Folding Mirror Harness tonight that I will be sending off to one of my Tacoma First Batch SR5 testers tomorrow to make sure everything matches up prior to the full release! If all works out, we are 100% good to go with EVERYTHING and I think all minor issues that were brought up during the testing phase have been addressed!!!:bananadance:

    SR5 PLUG-N-PLAY HARNESS

    3RD GEN TACOMA PLUG-N-PLAY HARNESS

What is the difference...Here is the SR5 OEM Connectors

How do you like my little mock-up of the 3RD GEN TACOMA OEM O1 Connector

I thought it would be nice to show how you connect the Power Folding Motor Wires (Black & Green) from the Extension Harness, as well as the Power Window PNP Harness (Black) and the Power Window Master Switch PNP Harness Wires (White) into the OEM O1 Connector.

For you guys, you wouldn’t have the Power Folding Mirror Extension Harness because your OEMs have the Power Folding Motors already. So you would take the Power Motor Wires, which we would have a PNP Harness, and it would Connector to this Harness. I have my vendor currently working on your Harness as we speak but I will not release it until after the Tailgate Locks are all out and one other mod I haven’t mentioned yet :D

Right now I’m trying to get these Tailgate Kits released and finalized first. I’m getting the harness made right now. I have some mirrors on the way for the development process so I can see what exactly I’m working with, starting with the 3rd Gen Tundras. One thing at a time.

@KTJO 4x4 Great work! Looking forward to your final product. I just bought 2013 Limited folding mirrors for my 2017 SR5 in anticipation of your harnesses. Thank you for taking the time to do this!

I must have missed the pictures or maybe it’s just because I’m trying to view it on my phone and it’s not cooperating. I’ll trying to see if I can find that on my computer or something to check out.

So this is what a Tundra OEM Power Folding Motor Looks Like?

    B7F823C0-668C-4E07-850C-1C0A369879CF.jpg

So it seems like you guys don’t have connection plates like the Tacoma’s. It’s just one big arm? You have a similar spring as our BSM Mirror. Pain in the you know what to remove but once you get it out it’s out. So is that pretty accurate or is that a connection plate and not the huge arm of the mirror?

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
They should bolt up just fine. The only thing is some members have mentioned that the wiring is slightly off on these - something about the BSM or puddle lights being mis-wired compared to stock. There are a lot of threads that mention the A1 mirrors.

Ok I've looked all over.. Does anyone have the pinout diagram for the passenger and drivers mirrors for a 1794 set of mirrors? I know what the pin out on the truck is but I have a set of these mirrors with all the bells and whistles every single pin is taken. When I plug them they adjustment works, the turn signal works, the heat works, but I get a a BSM error. I know which wire on the truck that is for BSM (my truck is a 2019 limited) but I do not know which pin on the mirrors is for bsm, the mirrors are off a 2016 1794.

Here is the info I used when I did my install, pulled from https://www.tundratalk.net/forums/t...4-sr5-platinum-power-fold-mirror-install.html

    Pin 1: Heat +
    Pin 2: Heat –
    Pin 3: Signal – (Running Light -)
    Pin 4: Signal +
Pin 5: Puddle Lamp – (Already wired as common ground, needs rewire to make puddle lamps work)
    Pin 6: Puddle Lamp +
    Pin 7: Mirror Retract (+)
    Pin 8: Mirror Fold (–)
    Pin 9: Running Light +
    Pin 10: Mirror Vert (power)
    Pin 11: Mirror +
    Pin 12: Mirror Horiz (power)
    Pin 13: Auto-Dim –
    Pin 14: Auto-Dim +
Pin 15-18: Memory Pins .. since I don’t have this, I didn’t research the actual pins, just know that these 4 are reserved for that.

It should be either the the pink or purple wire for BSM+ (upper and lower right on the harness) and the negative is shared with the puddle lights.

Thanks! Long story short I found out I have a bad BSM indicator on the passenger mirror. It only took me all day to figure it out!

Ha! Figures. I had trouble as well, since the mirrors I got didn't have BSM. I ended up installing new LEDs in the sail panels and they seemed to be working on startup, but would throw a BSM error when the system was triggered. Turned out the ECU didn't like the resistors I had installed for the LEDs. Once I removed the resistors, everything worked fine.
