Did that Legislation go into effect, wherein you cannot have ammo shipped to you, from out of state?

Correct it must be shipped to a FFL now. And then in store ammo purchases must have a background check now

Yeah, I suspect that's how they will backdoor RKBA. Ok, we're not confiscating guns. You just don't get the ammo. Stack it deep while it's cheap. And learn to reload.

Yup, it's not that I prefer the AK platform(s) to the ARs, the ammo is cheaper for random stacking. (IF I were EVER to decide to get my scuba gear out and retrieve my firearms from the bottom of Lake Michigan.)

Ammoseek is a great search engine that lets you plug in and sort caliber, bullet style, weight, etc.

Won’t do our friend in CA much good unless you can also filter by state, which I have no idea if it does. Never had the need.

Turns out everyones favorite store Walmart quit selling handgun ammo along with any potential AR rounds. My local wallyworld in rural PA had ZERO pistol rounds, get to your local wallyworld before it's too late and get some ammo deals before it's all gone....:oldglory:

Their reload stuff is as good as most factory stuff and is all I buy for target ammo.

PS. I leave a note at the door bell, "please leave packages behind gate on your right and engage lock."
My mailman fricken hates me, cause of the weight of some of my packages...

Sad to say, it's already been done in Grants Pass, Or., probably Medford and Roseburg as well. Thank God we have Bi-Mart around, they sell a lot of bulk ammo and have a lot of reloading components always on hand and yeah, they sell pistols and revolvers at good prices. They're an employee owned business, great to deal with.

How's everyone doing with ammo during all this COVID-19 stuff? Pretty much everywhere online is wiped out and the price gouging has begun. I saw 556 for over a dollar a round on cheaperthandirt.

Earlier today I was on the phone with my go-to M14 builder located in Arizona working out a discount deal for my customers, and he commented about this current run on ammunition. I wasn't aware of this current run because I stocked up prior to the '08 election, and fine tuned my supply after prices fell drastically years later... I haven't purchased bulk ammo in several years.

What is driving the current run on ammo? Are there that many new gun owners that are just getting started, or is it something else? Can toilet paper be used to barter for ammo?

I stocked up after the last panic buy also. I think the main cause of this is hysteria from COVID-19. With States declaring a state of emergency they have the power to stop all gun sales. This is freaking everyone out along with the prospect of people out of work and hungry. Looting is a very real possibility making personal protection a higher priority for those who are unprepared. To add to all of this, yes gun sales have spiked so naturally ammo sales will follow.

I bought a few thousand rounds of 223 when the virus was still in China, apparently my foresight paid off. Guess a lot of gun stores are totally out of ammo and guns in general. I've heard cheaper than dirt price gouges pretty hardcore pretty often. I've never bought from them personally, ammoseek always shows better deals than them. Though with that said, the cheapest I found as of a two days ago was already at 30c a round and that was to buy a 90k round pallet from Palmetto lol

Its crazy the massive gun and ammo sales going on right now. I went to go just try and find some 9mm and 40 to backfill and 4 stores were wiped out.

Cheaper than Dirt had 1000 round cases of Lake City M193 5.56/.223 listed yesterday for $900. The scary thing is it sold out at that price.

Ammoseek only shows 4 places with prices under 40c a round right now, that's almost a double in price since last week. Most of the cheaper places are actually big name stores like Sportsmans and Calranch.

I didn't think I was doing all that well until I conducted an inventory the other day. Not enough for my tastes, but suffice to say that there's MORE than enough to make sure we're safe.

With that said, you'd best BELIEVE that I'll be on the lookout for deals; and that I'll be purchasing a bit more as prices go down.
