Did you wrap the bumper caps or have someone do it? I've been looking at getting some painted caps but this might be a lower cost solution.

I paid $500 to have the grill surround, hood bulge and bumper corners wrapped with vinyl by a business called Third Coast Customs. I checked into buying pre-painted in caps from Sparks Toyota. They were around $900 ($700 unpainted). Much more expensive. I talked to a friend, who owns a body shop about painting them and he recommended against it saying that it would probably never stick to the chrome as well as the vinyl. I also looked into purchasing new corners for the bumpers and just leaving them unpainted. That was gonna cost about $200 for just the parts ( after market). That would still leave me with having to install them and paying to have the grill surround done. Also had concerns on how well the the after market corners would match. I found a place on line that sold color matched vinyl to match the paint for $800 plus $100 for shipping. For me vinyl seemed to be the best solution and it only tied up my vehicle for two hours. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jim. I'm new to this forum and wasn't sure if this was a friendly welcome or someone telling me to "search" before asking any questions. Just picked up my 2017 Tundra SR5 4x4 5.7L this Saturday and looking for ideas to delete all the chrome. :)

This is an awesome forum btw. I was just contemplating how my Tundra would look with vinyl wrapped bumpers and grill and voila. Thanks Sicuro 7275!! Welcome from Alabama.

Almost a play by play scenario that I am a facing. Vinyl seems to be the best option for me as well. Starting to price out shops to do that.

Now that I see a truck with solid black front and tears, I think I’ll like it on mine too!

I don’t know why they just don’t do more in black. I know they had the SX model but they want a lot more for it. I think it would be cheaper to put a black grill surround and black in caps.

No warranty on the vinyl. And TSS stands for Toyota sports series.
