Hello everyone! I'm Heather and I'm from Virginia I made an account on here because I was hoping that someone with a little more knowledge than me could help me out. My husband has a 2019 Tundra that's basically the work truck package and no extras whatsoever. I wanted to get him a keyless entry kit for Christmas and IF possible one that also had the remote start too. The only thing is, his truck doesn't have any of that. I do know that his key has an H on it, not sure if that matters so I figured I'd throw that out there just incase it does. So, is it possible to get him a keyless entry kit? Can I also get one with the remote start included? And if so, which one(s) are recommended?? Thanks so much in advance!!!!!

Welcome to the group. As long as the truck has electric door locks, you can add keyless entry. There are several options out there. Some can be installed by the owner, some require a professional. I personally recommend the Viper system. It's well supported and reliable. It will give you remote entry, remote start, and a nice loud alarm. You can find an installer in your area here https://www.viper.com/wheretobuy/

I'm sure you'll get other, very good, recommendations from the group. There was a group buy on a system here recently.

There are several discussions about remote start and keyless entry systems on the site. Reading a few will give you a lot of information.

Deciding on a "plug and play" system, or one that's professionally installed depends on the owner. At my age I'd rather let the pro do it, but a few years ago I'd have tackled it without reservation.

I have the Viper 5706 and I'm pretty happy with it. Great range, remote start, 2-way communication.

I bought the 12 volts remote start last year and installed myself. There are several upgrades that you can do to this kit as well. Super easy install, zero wires to splice so 100% plug in play.

The 12 volt solution as mentioned above also has options to add radio frequency RF remote for further line-of-sight range and you can also add remote start with your cell phone.

I have a Compustar alarm/remote starter. It was a simple plug and play. It took about 20 minutes to install.

    Welcome from NY.
