Way out of my price range. I'm more likely to try a Sure Shot sprayer...same idea.....a lot lower cost

In your opinion, is this more directed at detail shops or towards the hobby detailers?

Very mobile and user friendly, and if taking buying all the other products to match what this Keg can do, seems pretty legit.

In what scenario would you use this instead of a water hose or pressure washer? If you decide to wash your truck on a road trip or something?

To me this really only makes sense for someone who does this for a living, especially mobile. Somebody who does a lot of vehicles, and uses the same chemicals constantly. Especially considering they aren’t cheap. I just thought they were pretty cool.

If someone had access to empty kegs, it probably wouldn’t be difficult to make one. If you want to wash your truck on road trip, just carry a bottle of Optimum No Rinse or Ech20 and a bucket.

I’ve seen guys attach battery powered bike pumps to plastic pump sprayers.

Kinda what I was thinking. Pro on the go or someone on vacation. I was always surprised on how many people washed and waxed their tow rigs/campers while on vacation.

The guy that tinted my windows had one plumbed directly to an air compressor, it was pretty sweet.
For the money I’ll stick with a garden sprayer for my APC.

I keep some stuff to clean bugs off the grill while traveling, since they’ll eat into the paint pretty quickly.

I like the idea, but it's a bit much, even for someone doing mobile detailing on a daily basis, the size and weight really make it hard to transport it. That's not to mention you will need a pump to keep it pressurized properly.

I think the IK is still a better all around option.

You won't need to pump the soda keg. You can precharge it with an air compressor, or use a mini co2 system https://beveragelements.com/product-category/gas-cylinders-regulators/portable-co2-keg-chargers/ Also the soda keg will hold 5 gallons of product.

Great idea, but considering the cost to build it, you can get the IKs for relatively the same price or sometimes cheaper, and produces a thicker foam, I think it still a better option.

True, however the CO2 tank option will just add to the cost per wash for a mobile detailer, as the CO2 tanks will have to be replace once used up. Same goes for the air compressor, if the person doesn't already have one, they will need to get one for that application, but that cost will be lower as the compressor will not need to be replaced as often. Still the size and weight problem remains.

Depends. If you're using an IK as a pro and spending time pumping the damn thing, you're increasing the amount of time per job, so you can take less jobs. Portable compressors are always handy. If they don't have one, they should get one. They are cheap and will make things like cleaning MF pads A LOT easier. But yes, this is a niche solution for those that like to flex with their tools.

Found these guys on EBay... https://www.ebay.com/str/cascadekegz still need the power washer after a mud run, but use less than a gallon of water using a rinseless wash solution to keep the rig road shiny... a lot less than the other listing and comes in several sizes

After using these guys on ebay, they started their own web site where they lowered their prices and include shipping! The 1.5 gallon pro kit that I carry to clean up after a road trip is awesome and makes it easy to keep up appearances. Check them out at www.cascadekegz.com
