I busted a rim a few weeks ago. TylerDurden311 was kind enough to give a great deal on his stock rims. I had them powder coated and I think they turned out great

For the shifter, did you take off the trim piece to paint? If so, any pointers to take it off?

Yep, I took everything off...I’ll add more photos if that helps.

I used a trim tool I had to pry it open. So I basically took everything off and taped off what I didn’t want to cover.

You can separate the little chrome bezel from the shifter area trim and paint just the chrome part. This ends up looking much better IMO. The chrome bezel is held on by some plastic welds that be cut off with snips or a razor, then just hot glue it back in place.
With plastidip you wanna start with a light dusting for 2 coats. Let that dry for 15 minutes, then do some heavier "wet" coats. Only allow a couple minutes between these wet coats. This leaves a nice smooth finish that ends up being pretty durable. This is the best pic I could find of mine

Thanks! I was skeptical at first that the blue would look okay with MGM, but I like it the more I add.

Which blue trim are you asking about? If it's the rings around the climate knobs, they're just painted. I did those while I had the knobs out. The letters I got from ebay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Premium-Vi...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

That will look good! My badges were originally black, and I had blue vinyl stickers on the 5.7 and V8, but decided I wanted the whole thing blue. I have the same inlays

TVD Vinyl has inserts in several different colors. It is easier than to try and paint the letters.
They have a few different shades of blue.

I am sure it will. I would give the plastidip a couple days to fully cure. They stick really good - I had one letter a little off center and tried to remove it to adjust, and there was no way it was coming off (without destroying it)

Over the course of a few days - new towing mirrors, GM style and it's so much better than the Toyota ones. OEM LED black lights with all LED bulbs, and Auer LED fog lights. Now to go for a night time drive to see the difference.
