SF toyota was at 8k off on the 2019 platinum I looked at. MSRP was 53k and change. That included the 3k rebate. In the end, I opted for 2020. I was only able to get 5k off on that which was the best deal I could find locally.

What's the best price I could expect to pay on a double cab 4x4 sr5?

SX package preferred although they are very rare around GA.

2019 dc limited, 45,783 msrp, bought in July $5500 off msrp, but that included $3000 cash back. I flew from Hawaii to NY to get the red with tan interior. Lol. So I didn't have much bargaining room since I wanted this exact truck.

Ray Brandt Toyota in Kenner Louisiana. I thought the price was great. And the trade-in was even better. I really did not want to give up my FJ cruiser. But I could not pass up this deal.

I posted earlier in the thread on my 2019 platinum going from 53K+ to 44.3K and that was without any trade in, but I took the rebate as I had my own very low financing through a credit union. I contacted several other dealerships and told them directly what I was offered and asked if they could beat it and was flat out told they couldn't beat that price and that if I was offered that deal I should go and take it, so I did. Happy and having fun with mods now!

Nice truck for sure...not sure what that truck would he up here in terms of MSRP. I'm assuming you are Portland OR?

To put it into a bit of context: $42K USD is around $58-59K CAD when you factor in exchange rate and add an extra tax we pay up here (GST & PST for a total of 12%)

Well that does it. I'm returning the Tundra and getting my Tacoma back so I can get a better deal - left too much $$$ on the table! :bananadead:

Good for a lot of people in this thread. There is for sure dealers losing money to a lot of people posting on here. I was no where near as low as some of you on your Platinum but I got to the point where 5 other dealers would not match and I better hurry up and buy from the dealer they were trying to match. They never called me again either so I bought that night, haha. If I remember correctly, I paid $47k + ttl

I’ve decided to go for a 2019 Platinum. Was considering an F-150 and read all about the various “formulas” to get the best price.

Toyota seems more straightforward. Contacted 4 dealers and the best price I’m seeing is 48,259 on a MSRP of 53,180 (9.3% off). Planning to take the 0%. How is this looking? As experts, do you all think I could get a bit more? Too much to ask for spray in bed liner and running boards thrown in?Located in the Southwest.

    Thank you for the help.

My MSRP was 53.650 which included the 550 classic running boards.

Does that price include the $3k rebate?

If not then your at $45 and change which seems good.

If so then I would continuing shopping around.

Only took a few quotes to get south of $47 including rebate in SE Michigan.

EDIT: appears that price is the 0% in lieu of the rebate so it appears good.

Has anyone seen A LOT of 2019's around, no matter what trim? I think dealers should be discounting them a ton this month.... Even the TRD Pros are not moving where I am, but no advertised sales.

Agreed. TRD PROS everywhere here in New England. More than 10 within 30 miles of my zip.

I will say after test driving the 2020 the better infotainment center is worth buying a 2020 instead of a 2019. Android Auto is awesome. Had a dealer discount 5500 off MSRP today for a 2020 limited double cab but walked bc they baited me with the 3000 rebate then switched to the 750. Waste of my time.

I have a feeling with as much as I'm disappointed with the JBL system, the extra $2.5k I pocketed with the 19 will go far with upgrading...

The infotainment is easily upgraded for a lot less than the difference in price of a 2020 and 2019 and you would have a much better infotainment system.

I think you could do a little better. I got mine 2019 a month ago for $47.7ish k plus TTL on an MSRP $53,370 taking the 0%. Mine came with running boards. If they won't budge on price I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for the spray liner and running boards.

This is about what I got. I also chose the 0%. I don’t like to haggle for the very last penny so I’m sure I could have got more if I wanted to waste a few extra days on it, but it felt like a good deal. Go for it.

So based on this thread I’ve learned to:

always google “what did you pay” before dropping 50 large

Ask for dealer add ons includes or at cost (still can’t believe we have to buy bed liners separately)

That I left $500/$1000 on the table (although it appears the north east MI/OH region does not have as deep of pockets)

    $5,670 off $53,370 is 10.6% off MSRP.
A very good deal on a 2019 as the best deals come in about 11.2% off MSRP or in this case a discount of 5,977 or a difference of $307.

FYI; almost nobody is getting boards and a spray-in liner with this deal as it is too tight. The Dealer pays Linex/Bullet $385 for a liner.

Nice work on the deal. It can be painful to get the last $300 by walking out, waiting a day more for them to call you back (and maybe losing the exact truck you like) or wasting more time with more dealers.

My boards were included in the MSRP and I agree I got a good deal. Was just implying there was likely a little room left if he wanted to haggle more.
