Can you use any launcher with it? Do you have to wipe all apps and data to install?

Does this thing automatically dim at night, or go into a night mode?

I am trying to get everything working on my 2010 JBL system but am not getting anything from the backup camera. I did the splice you did above but am not getting a picture from the fcam software in reverse or not. I think I must be missing a plug somewhere. Is the backup camera part of the canbus, or is it a separate plug I have not plugged in?

Also, I cannot figure out the GPS. I bought the Toyota adapters but they do not seem to fit any plugs I have left over. I think it is the grey connector wrapped in foam but can anyone verify? I have fiver plugs left over including what I think is the GPS.

Any help greatly appreciated, I have everything else working!

Mine is a 2019 non jbl. All I had to do was connect the yellow RCA from the canbus to the yellow RCA on the headunit harness.

Yep, unless I am totally missing it, my 2010 does not have a yellow RCA. I am lost at this point! Thanks for the reply.

Yes. What you said. The dasaita and the canbus harness have yellow rcas that need to be connected. That's all mine needed to work.

I took everything back out and looked at it. My canbus does not have a yellow RCA plug to connect to the yellow CAM IN harness. I took a pic, is mine different being a 2010? harness.jpg

I would imagine yours is much different as mine came with a factory rear camera. I'm guessing yours is AM? Or they possibly sent you a slightly diff harness?

Definitely a factory camera, JBL/Nav system. I found the adapter above locally and will go pick it up to see if that fixes the issue and post back. Thanks

Just a note for anyone reading this with a 2nd gen JBL/NAV/Backup camera (mine is a 2010 Limited double cab), you will need this adapter to get the backup camera working. I followed the directions with the package and soldered up three wires and plugged the yellow RCA to the Dasaita and it works great.

Here are some pictures of my install of the Dasaita Max6 that is made for the 2007-2013 Tundra. Had a few issues along the way but it looks good. It is not really held in by very much, you do not use the screws that you take out of the OEM radio, just the clips, but it is not going anywhere. I had to have an adapter (see above post) to get the backup camera working, and the adapters mentioned in the first post would not work for my GPS so I just used the GPS antenna that came with the radio.

Sorry for the late reply, but I couldn't help anyways as my 07 SR5 didn't come with a back up cam. I had to crawl the full length of my truck on my back zip tying and poking holes to get my camera run.

Thats a nice unit and install. Thank you for posting back with your solution, no doubt the numerous guests that stumble across this thread/forum will benefit from it.

Nice video. I may have to install this now for split screen and the dialer.

It is both including wireless Carplay. I use Android auto myself but tested with my wife's iPhone. It is the built-in version, no dongle.

Awesome thank you for the info. Utilizes all the stock steering functions and microphone no problem? This is the head unit I am highly considering just want to make sure its everything I am hoping for in a unit.

On mine when I long press to save the station it pops up a space to name each preset. I put the station number in the box and it only shows that for the buttons. Top section still shows the metadata for each station though.

Steering functions work great, but I did have to select the correct canbus settings under factory settings (8 I think it was) and then map the buttons with the app that is installed on the head unit. As far as I could figure there is no way to use the factory mic, I used the one that came with the head unit. It is not in a great place, I may move it later.

Just got the full version of the Malaysk rom and it is worth it. I'm still using car launcher pro. Just the ability to use google assistant to make calls while driving is so worth it. Split screen is just a bonus.

Is there a quick way to backup all the apps to reinstall after rom install?

Once you do it the first time you can use titanium backup. It doesn't take me that long to set everything up again.

    That's what's up.
Dialer is perfect. Also app whitelisting is what I needed. Some launchers have a feature to auto start music apps from sleep, but were wonky as hell.
