I love these two companies innovation and understand they need to make the money back from R&D and good quality American labor. However, there is no denying that these two purchases are quite an investment. So does anyone who has been watching them for a while know if they give seasonal discounts? Debating on waiting or just buying now. Also those who bought them, what accessories did you get and how did you like them? I like Leitners rack due to their ability to do things one could not with any other rack on the market.[IMG]

I’ve never seen decked go on sale, even around Black Friday. On their faq they say they already charge the lowest they can go. I ordered mine off Amazon for the 5% using the amazon card, but that was it.

Order before the price goes up.

Thank you for your interest in DECKED. We appreciate the vote of confidence in our product. We do not do seasonal discounts, as everyday low prices is our mission. We are constantly striving to keep our prices as low as possible. We will always stick to this goal and keep our prices fair and proportionate to the cost of production. That being said, we understand the investment when purchasing a DECKED system. That is why it is so important to us to produce a quality product and stand by our warranty.

I have had the leitner system for about 2 1/2 years and I love it. I have 4 accessory plates, 2 gear pods, RTT connectors, and the maxtraxx holder. It works with thule accessories. I purchased mine from him, his shop is about 45 min from me. He was great to talk with and was asking about durability/issues when I went to purchase additional stuff (save on shipping). But about deals. You should do a google search on other business that sell his stuff. I have seen that people have saved some $$$ by buying from third party's that have deals/discounts. going through the supplier is not always the cheapest option. I also heard that he gives a military veterans discount. I didn't take advantage of this because I forgot to ask.

Alright pulling the trigger on the Leitner designs rack and Decked system(installment payments). :).

If they are so careful to be stalking the forums then that must mean that they really care what we think about them. I expect good customer service and great value.

I jumped on these two products a few months ago shopping on sites that offered the same OME site's prices... no discount. But took advantage of free shipping and no Internet sales tax plus 6 months to pay off via Paypal.
Next step is another rack for the roof (Rhino Racks?), roof-mounted tent, wrap-around canopy, 2 person lightweight canoe and off I go into the wild.
And maybe a dual battery, solar panel and battery plus a water tank too.

Just get them... you won't regret.

I've had my Leitner ACS for about a year and love the versatility. Not many other bed racks can accommodate bikes or boards/kayaks like a Leitner can. The fact that the crossbars move is priceless to me.

I currently have two of the accessory panels with RotoPax mounts on one side and Quick Fist mounts on the reverse, the load stops (for SUPs and surf boards), the MaxTrax mounts, and the hi-lift mount (this mounts way more places than he shows on his website). Be sure to ask for the black crossbars -- pretty sure he offers them now. Also, Barnhard (Leitner) doesn't lurk on here to my knowledge, but he's a good guy and will answer any questions you have if you give him a call.

    IMG_3209.jpg IMG_9406.jpg

FWIW, I've never seen a sale on the ACS, but some of the accessories are cheaper through his resellers.

My @DECKEDUSA system is one of the better investments I’ve made. Only seems expensive until you put it to use.

That being said, I don’t think the dividers are great. Get a couple of their storage boxes. They rock.

Also, the smaller pelican boxes fit nicely too.

I have both for a 2019 Crewmax and it is better than Reese’s peanut butter cups.

Buy once cry once. I have called leitner designs several times and always get to talk to him directly.
The same with the @DECKEDUSA system and customer service.

Side note: A yeti Tundra 75 fits perfectly between the Leitner cargo pods. Just swap the feet out to the sliding ones instead of the rubber ones otherwise you will never move it once it’s loaded with ice and food and whatever.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
I can attest to their warranty and customer service. I have an older generation system in my Tundra, i had an issue with the attachment points breaking. Most likely my fault due to over tightening the bolts, Decked was great to work with, sent me the replacement parts needed after a couple emails. Super easy to deal with. I've since destroyed one of the drawers (Not a warranty issue) so when I get time i'll need to order new parts for this. I have no concerns that when the time comes they'll be easy to work with.

@DECKEDUSA sets the industry standard for customer service, quality, warranty, etc. Hands down the best use of your money for the truck if you need storage. I have had 4 systems (possibly 5 now) and am constantly amazed at the small tweeks and changes they make on each gen. It also helps to have some of the nicest folks in the industry working there!

Excuse the mess in the back. I also have a waterport which is an amazing mod you use for everything from dirty feet to dirty bikes to dirty hippies.
The lights are Goal Zero solar powered crush lights that I hung on little 3M hooks. This way I can take one with me or leave them hanging. They take up no room and take no batteries. The LED bed lights are compliments of Matt Gecko. They work very well under the Leitner bed rails with zero compatibility issues and look amazing under the gear pods and above the decked system. It’s the perfect amount of light that isn’t annoying when you need it.

I have two Decked D boxes with Kaizen foam inserts for organization. I have one crossbox and four dividers. The great thing about these parts is that you can take them with or leave them behind based on your daily adventures. Totally modular. I can say the D box is big enough to hold a Milwaukee hammer drill, sawzall and impact driver along with two batteries, the charger, a bit set and extra sawzall blades in Kaizen foam. The crossbox is a regular tool box size.

Notes: Due to the added weight of the decked system and the gear I carry in it with the Leitner pods and the gear in them along with four rotopax my truck sagged in the rear by about two inches. I ended up going the airbag route which I love. Icon makes an extension leaf pack as do other companies. But just a heads up. If you load all these storage areas up and toss on a roof top tent or whatever your hobby is be ready for some sag due to the added weight of the gear. The rack and decked systems themselves are very light.

That's quite the setup! We would be stoked to see how you organized your boxes with the Kaizen foam.

Oh man, I love this Leitner rack system. Im thinking of going with a similiar setup so it allows for dirtbike hauling. Anybody have experience with hauling dirtybikes using the Leitner setup? Pics with the pods mounted appear to have a pretty narrow loading area.

Being able to put bikes in the back was part of his design, it was why he made the back bar slide forward. His shop is located around Laguna Niguel, I picked mine up to save on shipping. You might want to call and ask how much could fit.

Anybody with both have any problems with the support arms of the leitner hitting the decked systems, did you have to trim decked? My wife (surprisingly) is trying to talk me into a decked system for my truck. I'm not convinced I need it, plus additional weight on daily driver. But looking at the pictures it seems really close.

If you have pods on both sides you will have right at 34 inches of space between them inside your truck bed.

No. Zero issues. Instal the decked system first (if you have not installed the rack system yet) and then when you are installing the rack system you will see how much room you have when installing and drilling the support arms.

I really liked the Leitner design, only wish the tubing was 1.75".
The 1.5" tube seems a bit undersized on the lifted Tundras.

    My first post :)

My 07' Tundra used to be the RZR tow rig until I caught the cycling obsession back in 2010. Fast forward, time to re-purpose my TRD S/C, Banks, 6" Pro-Comp lifted truck into a weekend get away prepper truck.

Installed the Leitner Design Forged bed rack along with a small storage pod. Build quality, finish, and aesthetics is excellent, and Trumps the old contractor bed racks of yesteryear. To prevent bed flex from the 224 additional lbs of Bush Co. Alpha RTT and Eezi-Awn 6' aluminum cased awning, I also installed the Total Chaos bed stiffiner brackets. Unfortunately, they had to be cut at the weld in order to tuck underneath the Leitner support arm. I'm likely gonna pick up the XL pod, Maxtraxx bracket, additional load bar, and Waterport. Met Bernard Leitner at a local meet, very cool with a family history of design and innovation.

Sorry for the poor pics...time to upgrade the phone.

Looking at picking up a Leitner rack. Anyone know of a discount out there? Just called the guys at Leitner today and they said they stopped giving out discounts about a year ago (to forum guys). I also thought it was more cost effective to go directly through Leitner and was told they charge full retail. He even went as far to say it’s sometimes more cost effective to go through one of their dealers. Thoughts....

The best "discounts" I've gotten from Leitner have been by buying through vendors that don't charge tax or shipping. Being in California it's pricier going direct to Leitner. You have to be careful though, some vendors may discount the rack, or offer free shipping, but then they mark up the accessories.
